I do not believe many people think it'll be able to play 4k games though...only 4k movies and videos

Yeah, maybe I've misunderstood people... Why this more or less confirms that there won't be any 4k games on PS4? Because very, very few TVs would be able to display it, and as such it would be wasted money, money Sony can't afford to waste.

I love Kaz. There's not really much else he could say, though. It has to be positive, he's the bloody CEO!

exactly, also couldnt they just add a 4k output later on in the life cycle? i mean nobody would use it now, maybe in 3~4 years they could just make a new model and add 4K output right? im talking techinically

The means to send a 4K signal isn't really expensive. Which means that making the console capable of pushing 4K resolution wouldn't be that big a deal. Many PCs can do it already. What costs a lot is the DISPLAY necessary to make it all happen.

Good for them, but their TV division will continue to make loses if it doesn't price competitively with Samsung and LG. Bravia TV's aren't better than LG or Samsung TV's, yet they are always more expensive.
