Never had PS2 but borrowed it from friend to play these. Also some game called Kingdom Hearts but never finished it. Played some of its gems in HD this gen (Ico and GOW collection).

Metal Gear Solid 2. The entire opening. It was perfect. It was amazing. I had never seen anything like it.

And after that, the entirety of Metal Gear Solid 3.

Resident Evil 4, getting chainsawed was pretty neat too.

When I first brought it :) I was so lucky because my dad was only willing to let me get the console he siad he would buy the console for me but no games since it was so expensive, he then changed his mind and let me pick one game so I picked Final Fantasy 10 then I was begging him to let me get a memory card aswell which at the time were $100NZ ( same price as final fantasy was brand new) He wouldn't budge though, so I told him just how long a final fantasy takes to complete and that I couldn't just finish it in one go and he then gave in :D

hey! who's that Nintendo guy talking bought PS?

beating SoTc. took me 16 hr.'s to beat a 5hr game.


died like 5 times against the first Colossus

Kingdom Hearts... that's all I gotta say. I loved those games.

Man those are some really high prices. I think same with Austrailia but i checked that average income is bit higher than USA so it might be that. One of the reasons i got original xbox was that i hated memory cards. 

Its not my favorite system. But highlights include the conclusion of the Soul Reaver storyline (Soul reaver 2) and Legacy of Kain Defiance.
Final fantasy X is a memorable one aswell (even though i didnt enjoy it as much as FF7 and FF9).
Capcom vs SNK 2 for sure. Best fighter ever imo.
Silent Hill 2, also a benchmark survival horror. Sadly the series went Down Hill from there.

MGS2 was also a good sequal to one of my favorites from the previous generation. The ending was a bit messy though and with the prequals i felt like the series lost itself along the way.

Yeah I got my Ps2 around 2 years after it came out and it was still expensive! I don't think xbox was out at that stage. I remember my younger brother getting one a few years later and at the time i was trying to talk him out of it lol keep in mind i was around 10 at the time.
