Man those are some really high prices. I think same with Austrailia but i checked that average income is bit higher than USA so it might be that. One of the reasons i got original xbox was that i hated memory cards. 

Yeah I got my Ps2 around 2 years after it came out and it was still expensive! I don't think xbox was out at that stage. I remember my younger brother getting one a few years later and at the time i was trying to talk him out of it lol keep in mind i was around 10 at the time.
