I got an Xbox when PGR came out. Rallisport challenge was great too, as well as Jade Empire and Fable (better then the lame sequels)
I never finished Halo or Halo 2 though, too repetitive. Halo 4 is the first one I bothered to finish.

Oh yes, I had an Xbox and loved it. I got it, like everyone else who owned one, because of Halo. |
Preposterous. I got mine for Shenmue 2. I couldn't care less about Halo back then. It came with the console, I played it, and left wondering why people thought it was so great.
OP, you obviously reside in an underground village and haven't heard of electricity either I take it, I find it very hard to believe you or any of your friends, haven't heard of the original Xbox and have created this thread to incite a reaction. I will be noting it for future reference when you inevitably reference the Xbox in a manner that proves you knew of it before the Xbox 360.
Have a nice day.

Don't let him get to your head. His only contribution to VGC is to call people out and be negative about everything other than Microsoft.
People who didn't know about the Xbox 360 are probably the same people who didn't know the Dreamcast existed and thought he PS2 was the only machine with video games to play. These people make me sad.

Why would they make you sad? It's not like you know everything there is to know about every hobbies in the world either.
Although... The Dreamcast was one hell of a system. I remember going to the local video game store every week or so to check the video they had that showcased the upcoming titles, just to see how great Shenmue was goona be. Didn't get disappointed on bit when it finally came out and I got to play. First game that ever managed to make me postpone a playthrough of a Final Fantasy game (IX).

It makes me sad because the Dreamcast had so many amazing games and deserved to be a success, but far too many ignored it and played exclusivly on PS2. The Dreamcast had the best games the year before and the year after the PS2 released but people still ignored it. Sega was forced to drop the Dreamcast and hardware alltogether and the industry is poorer for it. As for Xbox, Halo is pure gold and it's too bad that some people never got a chance to experience it in it's begining.

I edited my post prior to your comment.
Now, about Halo... I never understood why people praised it so much. To me, it was nothing really special. Technically, for a console FPS it was great. But other than that, it wasn't anything special.
