That's pretty much my reaction. This isn't the 3DS, which had a huge profit margin from launch. The only way I could see a price cut being necessary for the Wii U is if E3 rolls around and Nintendo has nothing to show--which probably won't be the case.
Those numbers aren't good, it's true, and they need to do some work in Europe, but right now isn't the time for massive overreactions. If they announce big games at E3 and Wii U numbers are still down, then they can think about adjusting the asking price. Nintendo has a lot of key franchises they can bring out before that point, however.
