From a sales position youd be right. But fans its 2 different situations. Yes the head start logic is annoying to the losing parties (you and me) but I deal with it, hell I endorse it! Just saying WiiU fans have a breather till November.....Vita fans hit the ground crawling.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Horrible numbers overall, and 3DS and PS3 can't do much to save the situation... I hope they aren't definitive and ioi's still working on them.

Which is why I said pricecut, colours and games. Not just a pricecut.

Shows how fast things are declining.  The predictions of a slow and steady decline over 4 years or more for the PS3 were ridiculous, the predictions of "possibly flat" for this year were insanity.

Pricecut, colours, games. Releasing the cheap model in America would be a start, too.

The cheap version as in, cheaper to make for Sony or in retail? The MSRP is still €249 officially.

Once there is an official pricecut to €199 you think it will just ba short term blip? PS3 came near that price during the holidays, and you know how well it did.

Absolutely expected, WiiU is not a desirable product by now i think Nintendo is holding until holidays next year, at expense of awful sales at the beggining of the year
But unless Vita, WiiU has no competition from the 8th gen

No way PS3 ends up 40% down YOY. Maybe 20% depends on how well the market reacts to another price cut. 

Basically, 2 weeks is a TERRIBLE barometer for the year.

That's pretty much my reaction.  This isn't the 3DS, which had a huge profit margin from launch.  The only way I could see a price cut being necessary for the Wii U is if E3 rolls around and Nintendo has nothing to show--which probably won't be the case.

Those numbers aren't good, it's true, and they need to do some work in Europe, but right now isn't the time for massive overreactions.  If they announce big games at E3 and Wii U numbers are still down, then they can think about adjusting the asking price.  Nintendo has a lot of key franchises they can bring out before that point, however.

Amazon bestsellers list over the past week doesn't concur with what US sales are saying on here. I could be wrong but the gap between xbox360 and ps3 doesn't seem plausible.

I think you're one of the few who talks about this from a perspective of an irrational fan. Most people look at the Wii U sales with a long-term perspective in mind.
