According to Nintendo life to date sales for WiiU as of Dec 29 was 890000, PS3's life to date sales as of December 30 2006 according to this site was 667762. That is all i have to say

Target was 5.5 million shipped by 3/31.  So the number we need to see here on VGchartz for week ending 3/31 is something like 5 million. 

Math on that's 15 weeks left to sell 2.55 million Wii U's - 170k / week.

Totally reasonable.  It's gonna be close... but yeah Ninty's pretty much on target.

I hope they have something huge for 1st half 2013 and weren't counting on Mario and Nintendo Land to carry the platform.


That's the problem I think (knowing nintendo) they probably were. Guess the wii was just a fluke after all
