i mean its undertracked in retail to here. 11.61mil by years end (shipped/digital). vgc has it at 9.93mil. About 300k-500k is digital sales so that leaves us with 11.11mil-11.31mil at retail.

The difference between those is about 1.18mil-1.38mil. There is no way in hell there are 1mil+ pokemon XY copies on store shelves WW. Maybe anywhere between 300k-600k which leaves the game XY overtracked anywhere between 600k-1mil undertracked, thats where im getting at

A metascore of 88 disagrees with you. That coupled with sales of 10m+ at the very least indicates its a good game. But I agree that a lot of sales doesnt necesserily = good game; if that was true Angry Birds would be one of the greatest games ever - and its not.

I thought I´ve outgrown Pokemon when I played B/W around 2011 after a long hiatus and I couldn´t get into it.

It wasn´t me, the game was just not particularly good. ....in contrast to X&Y

Everybody that i know that owns the game was impressed by it, it was a huge step in the right direction for the franchise.

Every single Pokemon fan makes the same comment every release. It's the same boring storyline, yet people just completely ignore that. They completely ignore how brain dead easy the single player experience is.

If it wasn't Pokemon it wouldn't have scored as high as it did. Ni No Kuni even scored high despite being an even bigger pos game because the journalists compared it to Pokemon and it's co developed by Studio Ghibli. Too much bias put into all these ratings.

maybe some people dont play the game for story(like COD)? I think your hate for the game is getting the better of you, its fine if you dont like it but calling out on it isnt right. Usually nintendo games get harsh reviews and if pokemon gets it avg score of 80s then it must be at least good.

If a game was that much terrible as you claim nobody would be praising it as much. last generation (Black/White) had so many mix thoughts, some people hated it,etc. But this generation people seem to love the game and its alright!

another thing about pokemon is it is one of the most competitive games period, so another 1mil-2mil dont even care wats so ever about story/single player!
