I edited before you replied. Final Fantasy 13 has seven million sales. Does that mean seven million people like it? Only two million purchased Final Fantasy 13-2, less are going to purchase Lightning Returns. Sales does not equal quality. It sells well because it's one of the few RPG series most people played and automatically assume it's one of the best. Nintendo rarely try anything but Nintendo games, so how would they know. Also when kids in their teens and younger buy them every Nintendo handheld since it's a family friendly device, and kids watch the Pokemon cartoon, the parents buy them the Pokemon game. It only makes sense that it sells well. I'm on Hulu right now. What do you know. One of the most popular TV series, not just in the kids section, but across the entire line up of television shows. Are you going to say it's the best anime too? |
A metascore of 88 disagrees with you. That coupled with sales of 10m+ at the very least indicates its a good game. But I agree that a lot of sales doesnt necesserily = good game; if that was true Angry Birds would be one of the greatest games ever - and its not.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
