How many games will Pokemon outsell in the Vita's library?

Top 3 18 3.79%

Top 5 24 5.05%

Top 8 9 1.89%

Top 10 40 8.42%

Top 15 31 6.53%

Top 20 62 13.05%

All games 274 57.68%

Other 17 3.58%

Total:475

A shame we cannot answer that question since we don't have Vita sales data :/

Every single Pokemon fan makes the same comment every release. It's the same boring storyline, yet people just completely ignore that. They completely ignore how brain dead easy the single player experience is.

If it wasn't Pokemon it wouldn't have scored as high as it did. Ni No Kuni even scored high despite being an even bigger pos game because the journalists compared it to Pokemon and it's co developed by Studio Ghibli. Too much bias put into all these ratings.

The people that i know dont play pokemon for the storyline. I dont think i have played a single pokemon game for the story.

All my friends play it because its a fun game with a lot of options to build a team, the story doesnt matter to them.

I dont think there is a single rpg that i enjoy more than pokemon. Other Rpgs tend to get boring after some hours, i dont have that with the Pokemon Franchise.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

I am choosing the " All games" option, because from the looks of it the Vita is not getting any system sellers whatsoever. Not even one!  Combine that with the fact that Pokemon is a very big franchise and Pokemon  wins without question.

doesn't matter that much and we do have digital sales posted by kresnick for Sept-Dec. Vita sales dont add that much more, maybe another 1mil at best.

Well this was bad, but at least it did not manage to outsell the entire library according to Vgchartz :D. So 56% of the poll voters were wrong lol. Still nothing to brag about. *Shameless necro*

Pokemon X/Y (3DS)
Nintendo, Role-Playing
13 9,943,660 9,943,660

PSV 10,432,567 (+17%)

pokemon as of dec 31st sold/shipped 11.6mil, vgc has it undertracked still by a hell of alot!

Yeah but as you say Pokemon digital is not very good. While Sony says vita digital is pretty good. And I am sure they shipped more then 15m PSV games last year for the variety in stores and so many different games.

i mean its undertracked in retail to here. 11.61mil by years end (shipped/digital). vgc has it at 9.93mil. About 300k-500k is digital sales so that leaves us with 11.11mil-11.31mil at retail.

The difference between those is about 1.18mil-1.38mil. There is no way in hell there are 1mil+ pokemon XY copies on store shelves WW. Maybe anywhere between 300k-600k which leaves the game XY overtracked anywhere between 600k-1mil undertracked, thats where im getting at

The only tracker that we trust for retail sales Vgchartz has it selling more retail. And we also know Vita has a lot more sales from digital. But of course you cannot possibly give vita a win against one 3DS game :D.

Usually the reason I do not get involved in these discussions.

You have to excuse me but I would use your numbers as facts or even approximation of facts.

Pokemon´s game mechanics are actually good and fun in contrast to the godawful Pokemon-lite in Ni No Kuni.

There is more to a JRPG than story.
