They're all horribly tame, though. None of them are from fanboys who are enjoying the PS3's bad sales. A bit disappointing, to be honest.

You're forgetting one key factor though; the software sales.

Wii's been a monster in that department, despite the ignorant claims that it doesn't sell games. Wii managed to have SEVERAL games that have sold well over 10 million, and a decent amount that even sold 20 million. That's where the true phenomenon is, in the games themselves. Games like Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, NSMB, Smash Bros, Galaxy series, etc. These games put up numbers that cannot be touched by PS3's library. Problem with the Wii was, after the games stopped coming out, the console stopped selling. But when they were there, the software, AND the hardware sold like gangbusters.

Your reaction isn't so much a "meltdown" as it is "lowering the bar". I wouldn't even call what 360 gamers are saying a meltdown. Weve been beating you for the entirety of the "relevant" part of the generation and will shift focus to next Xbox beating PS4 just when you claim your so called "victory" in this gen.

We kept if not increased our standards, yours have undeniably fallen since the gen started.

Everyone thought PS3 was gonna dominate, not just the Sony camp. Even then, there was no gloom and doom talk, that firstly appeard in 2007 from butthurt fanboys after PS2 destroyed everyone. And PS3 is beating the crap of both Wii and 360 now, so it actually is dominating now, just not by definition apparently LOL xD

And you weren't beating anyone since the Slim version launched in 2009, the only reason the 360 stayed 2nd for as long as it did was because of 1 year headstart, not because they were beating anyone

1 year start but without europe and japan on its side. Id say it evens out. Dominating the Wii perhaps, but it isn't beating 360 yearly by amounts that would warrant that word.

You're missing the bigger picture. It was only reasonable to assume PS3 would dominate back then, and thats all there was to it. Assumption. No fanboy gibberish, doom n' gloom talk and provocations from either side, just logical assumption. Where as of 2007, the PS3 was a pioneer to be called a doomed console.

And yeah, having no Japanese support really shows how good 360's ''beating skills'' are. And what do you mean without Europe? It was a pretty even market until 2009.
