Yep. Pretty much this. PS2 is the biggest selling machine in our industries history. Sony wont let it bow out with a whimper like this is suggesting.

Hmm, if this is true, I may consider buying a new PS2. I still have my launch PS2 from way back in the day, but while it still works, I'd like to have an extra PS2 just in case it breaks down.
