Come on Wii U, don't die on me now!

Not so fast. The Vita survived more than a year at this sales level. Add to this, that the current-gen competition has yet to be released. Nintendo isn't out of options yet. And they can probably survive another Gamecube with the 3DS selling that good. Too early to mourn the WiiU now, although it is in problems.

I updated the OP with this weeks number. As the WiiU start to follow the Vita-sales-trend I included Vita and for the sake of completeness also 3DS. I made a broken line for the handhelds, so that they are easier to differentiate.

I also added a gap-chart for WiiU compared to Vita. WiiU launched better, but lost some of this at the launch of Vita in the US and europe. As it looks at the moment that the WiiU will have worse weekly sales compared to the Vita the gap will slowly decrease. Keep in mind, this is the gap as it would present itself if both consoles had launched in the same week.

Some points to notice: in the global LTD-chart WiiU is currently at the point to get overtaken by 3DS and soon by PS3 and X360 at the same point in their life. In the US-chart it is about to fall behind PS3 and X360, 3DS will follow soon.

Well, that's what Nintendo gets if they don't release a WiiSportsResortU-bundle with a Wiimote included.

They should just release games. Period :P

WiiU sales have flatlined like 3DS...but I guess that means they could rebound with the same methods.
