Something to note about Mario Kart.

The series tends to have unbelievable attach-rates. Pretty amazing.

Super Mario Kart - 8.8 Million
SNES - 49 Million
~17%

Mario Kart 64 - 9.9 Million
N64 - 32.9 Million
~30%

Mario Kart Double Dash - 6.95 Million
Gamecube - 21.75 Million
~32%

Mario Kart Wii - 33.3 Million
Nintendo Wii - 98.6 Million
~33%

Those sales blows up everything outta the water. The extreme popularity of Mario Kart Wii is just unbelievable...

I don't know if anyone has said this, but technically, shouldn't we include Mario Kart DS as well into MK's figures - as we are including GT PSP and GT5:P, which released in the same timeframe...

Can't say I agree with that. People pick the bundles offered to them. If they could pick any game they wanted to as part of a bundle then I doubt everyone would pick the same game. People buy bundles for all kinds of reasons, not necessarily for the game being bundled. I think I've had enough of saying the world bundle for now.

in the last Forza v GT5 thread i made mention of Wiisports outselling both, but this takes the cake. and if MrKhans post means wht i think it means. i wouldn't recommend making another comparrison thread.

No.  I just wanted to show everybody how foolish people has been in previous threads.  I wanted to show that one game in the same genre can outsell all of them combined because of all the flame wars here recently.  People can ignore that sure, but people need not to make foolish comparisons to create flame wars by ignoring other things too.

well i can't agree with that. i'd have taken the LBP, MNR, GT5, and UC bundles cause i want all those games.

now i don't know if you know how much i hate COD, but i can't stand COD!! no really i can't stand COD. it's like a stain on the market, or wore. it's liek really bad breath.

now if you think i'm going to buy a COD bundled PS3 because it's being offered then you've lost your mind! but that is the logic you're using right?

well your logic is wrong.

well done i think you've succeeded. then if need be we can make a thread talking about which brand has sold the most games accross an equal number of consoles, or consoles released accross all 3 brands.

if MS wins, then Sony and ninity have egg on thier face. if ninty wins with Sony having sold the most home consoles, then Sony has the egg. but if Sony wins with ninty having released more consoles then the egg is on thier face. 

this is the kind of thing that could shut everyone and thier comparrision threads up.
