Forums - Sony - sony trolled again. Youtube vids moved to vevo

First: I can't believe some people don't know Vevo lol they rule Youtube.

Second: A while after Vevo was made many of those companies views transferred to Vevo so I guess this isn't a new thing.

Lastly: I don't think Youtube can just upload these music videos from different channels, Vevo owns them they'll sue.

The people who care, already know this. Without Vevo, youtube will lose like 70% of music videos. Probably even more, and seeing as how all their top most viewed videos are MVs, this gives vevo a lot of leeway.

Well, us K-Pop fans don't really have to deal with the crap that is Vevo, thank goodness for that!
I feel sorry for any company/person that has to deal with Vevo. What an extremely annoying company. -.-

You'd be surprised how much kpop is vevo.

Maybe. But most KPop is uploaded by the label/company who owns the group, not Vevo. (Or at least that's what it seems.)

However, when KPop enters the American market it is usually uploaded to Vevo. (Like SNSD's English premiere, same with Wonder Girls.)

ah yes, that's what I meant, it's usually the more popular songs and groups. I use allkpop.com myself, so I'm not really sure how it all works.

Doesn't akp.com link to YouTube though for videos?

Never heard of vevo. So naturally Id say this is more harm then good.

What?  Have you never been on youtube?!

offcourse I have. I just type in the name of a song and watch it on the first link I see. Please educate me on how vevo factors in to youtube.

It was just a joke, since I am aware you have a youtube account.  Calm down.

Euphoria's post pretty much sums up how VEVO factors into youtube.

was genuinely curious, not mad or anything. thx.

Vevo is so big that google is doing everything they can to keep vevo a part of youtube. Vevo has the upper hand here.

@OP: Sony runs Vevo.

man i must be really out of the loop never heard of it either... i thought it might be that thing sony adds into bluerays/dvds now for digital downloads thats not itunes... i just ignore it... so i take it i am very wrong... and have also never seen an add for vevo. sounds like another unnecessary artificial division in media ... only so many an ecosystem can take.

from your description it sounds like it is what MTV until around 94

really? damn, i always thought it was off the wall stuff, or so it seemed based on the utube app... lots of minecraft vids, topical comedy,  and well random ass shit. just went through the list before i signed in, there were 4 mv in the top 20. but as has been said before, one user does not make a trend... im now very curious about this and will look into where the volume comes form, i find it hard to believe its music videos

Hmmm, be careful that you're not misinterpreting what I said, I said 70% of music videos, not 70% of their total hits.
