Well, yes, Xplays review is, in America, the most important review source form a sales standpoint, as casuals actually do watch Xplay. The underground hardcore review scene seems to(with the IGN exception) have so far, latched on to the "NMH is a great game" assertion started with Famitsu early on. To fish any negatives about the overall critical reception of this game, at this point, is open fanboyism.

I pity anyone who watches G4...

Real words of Wisdom.  If you think that is the most important review source in america, you are on some stuff.

G4 reaches more audience than IGN?

LOL!!!!!!

IGN is made for GAMERS who buys games, how many people who watches G4 buys games?

and G4 isn't exactly a major network.

Wii hater, Sony Fanboy, was in the other topic giggling with glee over the IGN score.

Anyway, I said it is the most important, not the most respected.

Do you honestly think casuals get their reviews from IGN, or are more likely to check out the scrolling news of NMH 5/5 score, which runs constantly at the bottom of the screen, all day, on the only video game television channel in the united states?

Is it more important to game sales? Absolutely.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Do you honestly think "casuals" make it a priority to check review scores before they buy games?

LOL you know, putting LOL in caps doesn't anger me.

Your argument, however, "IGN is made for gamers" what the hell is  gamespot made for?

In fact, is the Wii "made for gamers"?

If your answer is "LOL" to that question, then your a Wii hater. Probably are, because only Wii haters would fight me on this, but I digress.

Many Wii owners are casual gamers. They check out G4TV, hell, a lot of people watch that channel from time to time. It's not like NMH is a popular game, or even on the main IGN page often.

My assertion is that more people will see or hear about the Xplay review(which is on the ticker for the channel and plays all day) than there are people who will go to IGN, type in NMH, and see that review.

Is that an insane assertion? The fact that a niche' hardcore gaming website might not get as many hits on its NMH review, as the amount of people that watch Xplay?

Was that my point?

The fact that I am on the defensive here, proved without a shadow of a doubt that this topic was necessary. Fanboys were wanting to take that review and run with it, but we've stopped that cold.

Man, Gamespot had incredibly high praise for the game, that got me sooooo super pumped. Damn, tomorrow can't get here fast enough!

Nah, I think they're mostly visual. They might have never heard of the game.

That's why the Xplay review matters. Nobody who never heard of the game is gonna be looking up reviews for it. Casuals, watching Xplay, might see the game, see it got a perfect score, and be like, "Woot, I gotta get that."

Understand?
