So AC new leaf been out for 7weeks now and its doing very very well! Boosting 3DS hardware off the charts, making Mario step back in Japan! Its last handheld title sold amazing!

As of now AC is only released in Japan (obviously) and have 1.54mil sales and this past week (dec17-23) will have somwhere between 1.89-1.95mil!!! (note if it hits 1.93-1.95 this means it will be number1 3DS title in japan in sales).

This is in just 7weeks, and if this continues it can surpass AC WW, being even more popular than it was before! Here are the numbers listed for comparison↓

I think they will sell about the same amount. I can see it selling 1 million more or 1 million less. I can see this being easily the top selling handheld game of 2013.

I think that it will, the 3DS is on track to become the biggest video game machine in Japan ever. Their sales will push it far, if it has even reasonable success in the west, it can pass wild world.

I don't see it being as successful in Europe or the US

Yeah, it could do it. I don't if the reception of the title in the west has changed, though. If it hasn't changed or even improved: New Leaf definately will do it. If it got worse: Could come close, but probably wouldn't do it.

Good question, i m not sure i think no but 10mil life time is possible.

btw i dont think VGChartz counts digital sales , Iwata said i the 1st weak of the game's lauch it sold 200k digital copies and i think 600k retail copies.

I already made the prediction that it would be the highest selling Animal Crossing game on the New Leaf's wall.
