I never mentioned you specifically and it seems like my statement somehow fell in your garden. Whatever.......

you did quote a response to me and mention he was battling bias persons, if that is not for me, you have a very wrong way of expressing your self. btw nice way to make a argument for the sake of the discussion... deflecting and changing the subject, good strategy. thumbs up.

I was speaking in general and if i wanted to mention you i could and would have replied directly to you. You obviously probably feel offended or think you need to defend yourself so maybe you really are a little bias?

i am not bias, not on purpose. people might think so but, hey i don't care or can change everyones heart.
did need to defend myself since what you said come across as personal attack and i don't take that lightly. if i am wrong about something, just point that out and i am man enough to admit, but without even knowing me, attack me as a person, and i will reply.

True but consoles still don't have it and couldn't run it...
If you want to play WoW on anything other then low, you do need a relatively good GPU for it. You have to remember that the consoles aren't even running an 8800GT...

I played World of Warcraft for several years after its launch on a system far below the capabilities of the HD consoles; and many of my friends upgraded to the Radeon X800 or Geforce 6800 when they were first available and it played the game beautifully.

The reason WoW isn't on consoles isn't because of processing power or memory, it is because the game would not map well to a controller and there are barriers to setting up Pay to Play services on the XBox 360.

Beautfiul =/= low resolution and lowest settings. Those cards are the minimum specs.

If you want to play it beautifully, you need to be playing on the HD5770, or better, at 1080p or greater.

If the Playstation didn't exist you may have a point, but it does and it's not owned by Sony. Fable was mapped fine to a controller - WoW could take that approach. The issue is with the larger raids and pvp arenas, bad GPU's and setups just don't cut it and will suffer massive FPS dips.

Still, this is getting off topic. Point is that the consoles need to be released with good specs otherwise a basic PC for a few bucks more will hammer them next christmas.

I find it interesting that the minimum system requirements for the game were released years after the game was, and at launch WoW was praised for having such modest requirements compared to games like Everquest 2.

Does anyone actually care about Kinect 2? Most people that I know have it never use it.

Another thing: A console can't be in beta can it? Maybe they mean the system's OS is in beta or something?

how come kinect keep selling then

Kinect sells well because it is bundled and seems like a good addition to families that have young children, but its software sales are generally pretty weak (I suspect) because it doesn't really deliver the experience people expected ...

I could be wrong but I expect that Kinect 2 will be successful if bundled with the next XBox system, the price of the system doesn't increase beyond people's confort level ($400), and it is not the primary input method for games. If Microsoft produces a $500+ system with Kinect as the primary input device I expect it would be a sales disaster on an unprecidented level.

I find it funny how 1.25 CPU is slow and 1.6 is fast. Only in the internet... its those 350Mhz that make the difference!

It might be easier for people to say Nintendo is slow and Microsoft is fast! Its about as obvious that theres no logic to it.

3 cores @1.25 is (not a little bit, a lot) slower than 8 or 16 cores @ 1.6
here in the internet and everywhere.

i don't get what is so difficult to understand...

Not necessarly. Depends on the CPU tech. And other rumors pointed out that half of the cores will be used for kinect. So it seems true that all next gen consoles will have similar power.

If that is true then a basic $600-$700 PC will wipe the floor with all the consoles, which is really just someones laptop and console budget combined.

My 3 year old PC hammers the crap out of the Wii U in everyway and it's using yester-years tech e.g. DDR2 RAM and a phenom II. The consoles are going to have to watch out for the steam box if they really think seriously low-clock speeds are going to give them next-gen capabilities.

So much power just to play an exclusive like Farmville. Im happy for you....

World of Warcraft? Starcraft? Diablo? Planetside 2?
All games at a true 1080p resolution?
The bigger, better version of BF3?
DX11?

Almost all MMO's are PC only, something you have forgotten....
Oh wait nah u just jelly ^-^

Nice you spent a lot more money than the rest of us to play 4 relavant exclusive games. Not only that youre actually so superior you felt the need to come here and boast that you have a gaming PC that you can upgrade next year with a video card and RAM more expensive than any console just so you can be on top and boast on more forums that you have the best. Those 4 games were definately worth the price.

I spent more money because I also needed something to do word processing on that ideally wouldn't die in 18 months aka most laptops, plus can also play games.

The advantage is that I get to play games which are cheaper, don't look like shit and run a lot faster & access to a whole world of mods. What I don't get are  a bunch of reworked exclusives that are identical to their predecessors and laughably priced, or watered down versions of games e.g. Battlefield 3.

I never boasted about upgrading my PC.....Someones clearly jelly xD
Also you clearly don't know the price of RAM as a decent set is about the same as a wireless pad....

Either way if the next consoles focus on being small and efficient over being power hungry beasts, gaming will be far superior on the PC then on the consoles. Just take a look at BF3, PS2, or even just DX11.

Ok, ok I'm going to step in for a moment.  I'm also a PC gamer and i will admit that I get highly annoyed with graphic article or threads acting like a console game is superior and completely excluding PC games.  However I will not lie about this, I enjoy console gaming more.  Dont get me wrong I buy most 3rd party games like Battlefield and Far Cry for PC but beyond that consoles have the games I like the most.  Halo, Gears, Unchartes, Metal Gear, Forza, Fable, Killzone, Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc etc.  PC is beautiful but that doesn't mean much unless I like the games too.  Im not a big mmo or rts guy either.  I also prefer multiplayer on consoles more because I prefer controllers rather than using a keyboard/mouse.

I actually just bought Far Cry 3 for PC running on ultra high settings and I'm blown away by them.  These type of games Ill choose PC but until PC gets all the games I like most I will not sit here and say PC is the best gaming platform.  It has it's pros and cons just like every single console.

I dont think thats fair, Mazty has a valid point. You seem to ignore the fact that most multiplatform games are available (and cheaper) on the PC. Most scale pretty well, furtherore the majority of them support XBox/general controllers out of the box. Its library far eclipses that of any console and spans multiple generations. Though not as big budget or famous, it still has more excusives than any console. While I personally dont really care about mods, I can see their appeal and some of them really add alot to games. Overall I still find this to be preferable over consoles despite missing out on most of my favourite Japanese IPs that tend to be console exclusive.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

That's fair enough however the issue is that what this generation has shown is that the most money is in multiplatform games as you can reach a wider market that way. If you take the craptastic Dead Island, it still sold well over 2 million copies even though it was terrible. If it had been released on just one platform, the sales most likely wouldn't have been nearly as high.
Therefore I do wonder, with that and the technical limitations of the consoles, if exclusives will become a much smaller entity, or if more will emerge on the PC. If we consider that the first UE4 games is a PC exclusive, that's promising, as well as knowing that UE4 required the gtx680 (or there abouts) to run - the kind of power a console won't be able to have.

Yeah but see we are looking at how much something sold.  That doesn't tell us how much money that game made.  You need a company to to publish your games and then they may even provide the tools for you to develope that game.  My guess would be that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo pay developers more money than what EA/Activision/Ubisoft pays their developers.  Microsoft/Nintendo.Sony also advertises their games better than other publishers. I'm sure their is plenty of perks working under one of the big three or else comppanies wouldn't do it.  And when thrd party games go exclusive, you know they got paid a lot up front. I know Halo, Gears, Forza, Gran Turismo, Mario, Zelda, and tons more has made a lot of money.

Yeam im jelly cause youre here boasting about PC superiority. Good luck finding cheaper PC games. Only way you get those games cheaper cause they are old outdated games that are not selling on steam so they put them on special discounts. Good luck paying $2.99 for the original Xbox version of Slpinter Cell. How does that work on Ultra settings? You think you got back your money worth yet? Ohh wait youre going to have to upgrade to a better card and CPU next year if youre going to want to visit more forums to boast and stay relavent. Battlefied is a boring and poor attempt to steal the COD audiance so....... yeah.....
