Rumors are that it wont be PlayStation 4, though. Due to 4 having something to do with death in Japan. My guess is JP will have a name of say, "PS Orbis" and everywhere else will continue with "PS4"


I agree but their are several reports that Playstation is being completly dropped from the name.

Big mistake IMO it they drop it

I will believe it when I see it. Though I did think about it and most people probably think of it as 'PS3' not 'Playstation 3' because you always see it abbreviated. So they may for instance call it something like Playstation XXX but refer to the product as XXX like people talk about the Xbox 360 as the '360'.

Hell no. They won't either..and they definitely shouldn't. Don't think I heard any rumors of them dropping the PS name though..just the number. Which I think is a smart choice

Oh really? Which rumors? All the rumored names are Playstation Orbis or Playstation Omni....etc. Playstation has always been stated to be in the name of the system.
