The WiiU is roughly the same price as this current gen and is being ousold by alot. Unless you price the WiiU below last gen it will not outsell it.

The Wii was priced 250$ and sold less than the PS2, the WiiU is even more expensive.

This is nothing new at all. In fact it's normal

That's true.  But everyone seems to be "forgetting" that when it comes to Wii U though... and I think that's what the OP is trying to address.

Too many Wii U defenders. Console is dated. They fooled us with a gimmick once, but never again. Sales will reflect that.

Yep, just common sense really. Next holiday when WiiU has a more robust library and possibly even a $50 price drop, we'll see how well it sells against the new consoles.

Normal console sales for a new generation device, especially when they only have a handful of exclusives of which to really grab people's attention.

Why is the 3DS outselling the Vita? Nintendo fooled the people once with the DS, Why are they fooling the people again?

It really doesnt matter. The 360 and the PS3 arent Wii U's direct competitiors. The PS4 and X720 are.
The Wii U is selling quite well considering and building a confortable lead on the other two.
