Brawl is my favorite. I played it over 600 hours (it's hard to tell exactly since my original Wii died and my Brawl stats died with it).

Brawl is actually the game that got me really active on this website. The Brawl thread was a meeting place for dozens of VGC players where we could exchange friend codes and brag about our best KOs.

64, one can't really forget that game.

Melee.

I can't even put my finger on what it was. I absolutely adored it. Second only to Double Dash in my local multiplayer list, they really nailed everything about it.

Comparatively, Brawl pissed me off. Again, can't quite put my finger on why. I felt like it was Melee repackaged, with tripping + final smashes and sold at full price. Suffice to say I sold it and went back to playing the previous instalment.

Not debatable. Just look at pro gameplay of all the SSB games.

Brawl comes pretty close but it's a tad too slow for my tastes and less pick up and play for some reason. And the Final Smashes are just incredibly imbalanced (Fox + Landmaster = game breaker). It wins on the content side, though.

Final smash aren't needed IMO they should of make something more balanced or an extra button! Maybe Wii U will do this for SSB4

Melee was the worst. i couldn't play with anyone but Roy. he was the best on the roster.

SSB had to be the best. i played with everyone but jiggly puff.

while there's only 3. BRAWL couldn't possibly be second best, but there's no other choice. i've played with 90% of the cast at one point but never consistently do to the AI being unbearably unbeatable at times.

my top 3 characters in order were Ike, Zelda, and Kirby. characters i love playing with but get no where: meta knight, lukario, wario, CF, ice climbers.

characters listed as relief or blue moon: King Deedee, Marth, wolf, and Sonic.

last but not least. the starz that were: Lucas, Ness, Link, DK, PMT, Mario, Luigi, GAW, and Pit
