Yeah, it's getting old fast. Sony should stop telling it.

When is the last time a home console had over 100k in Japan? 3DS easily does it every week.
NSMB 2 and NSMB U are selling so close together. I thought people said they would cannibalize each other?
05./02. [WIU] New Super Mario Bros. U (Nintendo) {2012.12.08} (¥5.985) - 71.011 / 234.539 (-57%)
06./08. [3DS] New Super Mario Bros. 2 # (Nintendo) {2012.07.28} (¥4.800) - 70.076 / 1.571.161 (+46%)
Amazing 3DS sales all around, both software and hardware. Wii U is holding up pretty nicely.
Poor Vita

It could also be the reason the PSP has always been pushed as a Japanese system while the Vita is mostly targeting Western audiences (i.e. AC3L, CoD, etc). Uncharted as launch title in Japan really? l0l. Plus the PSP is cheaper and the Vita doesnt support all of the games in its PSP Catalog yet. |
The one who is not making any sense is you. DS in Japan is selling a lot less than in other regions since 3DS launched. Just go to the homepage and you will see how much it sold in Japan compared to the other regions. The reason people in Japan buy PSP instead of the Vita is because the developers there are still making a lot more games for it compared to the vita.
18./00. [PS3] Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12 # (Koei Tecmo) {2012.12.13} (¥9.240) - 17.013 / NEW
Just noticed, seems to be in decline but idk. And look at the price 100$ for this game lol.

Sony only said it once. The trolls are the ones who keep repeating it.
I'm gonna start reporting people who say that as it is obviously flamebait.
0.0 at 3DS. The thing is actually on track to surpass DS now. 10m in less than 2 years in Japan is stellar performance. Has easily beaten Wii this time next year.
0.0 at Animal Crossing. This game is actually beating Mario 3D Land next week. It's unstoppable, what the hell happened in Japan?!
WiiU holds up nicely, but indeed it must show an increase next week to prove itself.
And Vita.

Your post makes zero sense. Japan is the worst area for the Vita by a large margin and has been so for quite some time. How and when was it ever the safety blanket? |
I dunno, before launch maybe? If we assumed it would follow the same pattern as the PSP...
| Train wreck said: I made a predication a couple weeks back that the majority of Nintendo fans will camp out at Media Create/Famitsu threads because that's the only place where Nintendo is doing decently Compare that to the UK/Europe weekly thread http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=151503&page=5 and http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=151510&page=1#10 Hmm |
Well I only visit the threads that are in hot topics on home page. I didn't even realise there where Europe threads out there, therefore I guess you are right, they don't get bumped up enough throught the day for me to notice them.
Thanks for the links.

OMG it's going to surpass itself? Are you from the future? Did your travel here somehow create an alternate timeline!?
