Also -- anyone else saddened by the declining Pokemon sales? I guess it's natural.. But I grew up in the "pokemon age"... back when every kid would carry a deck of pokemon cards to school until the teachers wised up and banned them suckas outta here. :(

Actually this is kind of not true, 5th might surpass certain things in other generations.
If u notice in pokemon (not spin offs) they have what you call third installments. The first gen shouldn't be compared due to it being the most massive but others are quite equal(Gen 2 is more ahead) I can make a DISCUSSION THREAD to put it easier on everyone?

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire (Gen III) are my favourites, Gen IV was fairly crap in comparison. But so far, I'd say Gen V has brought the most to the table. Everything that made the past games great, add in the Movie Studios, more of a story-focus and the best set of spin-offs the series has ever seen (Conquest, the new Mystery Dungeon, all it needs now is a new Snap) and you have a fantastic generation.

I would either pick Gen 1 or Gen 4...

Gen 6 looks to be the best soon IMO.
I cant wait i hope they release it soon on the 3DS. It will help out Hardware like crazy
