I have come to look forward to your posts. Ah the days when the Xbox people only cared about sales. It IS a different world these days.

absolutely true and there is no reaso why someone should buy another racing game as gt5 on ps3 if he wants to buy a great racing game (as long as he doesn't want to play an arcade game)

Why? GT5 is the best racing simulator in this gen... quality = sales in this case.

To me it sounds like the fans are trying their hardest to keep the dream alive when the reality is quite different now. |
5.5 Years? Tourist Trophy, GT HD, GT PSP and GT5 were made in that time. Plenty of racing fun to be had!
On another note, the consumer cares not for the vast majority of reviews. The consumer votes with money - Which is why Gran Turismo 5 will break that 10 Million mark.
| Train wreck said: Hey Carl, dont forget the Metacritic score! I find it absolutly appalling that a low 80's metacritic game can easily outsell its competetion that "are in the 90s". What are people thinking when they buy such a game?! |
See the above. The vast majority of reviews, especially Metacritic, matters not to the general consumer.

Ummm. No. |
It's is... FACT... not opinion this time even the 80's reviewers agree.
| kowenicki said: I agree. It's about time they looked after those loyal fans better. Get those games out every 2 years. |
Not needed for racing games. A true, real, good quality racing game can sell well for Years without needing a replacement. Mario Kart Wii. Mario Kart DS. Gran Turismo 5. All are/ will be 10 Million sellers with fantastic legs.

Your opinion but the fact continue to be a fact and your opinion can't change that
.
Anyway for me GT5 is the racing simulator of the decade... way better than GT4.
This GT/Forza sales/quality discussion is pretty stupid.

sales2099 has been calling GT a "bully" in every single Global Up thread for a few weeks. I don't see this differently. |
you know what i think about sales, don't have to speak to him haha
but carl is talking about milking if a game gets a new release every few years (yes i know he didn't mean forza with that sure) not thinking about the fact that we would already have 2 gt + 2 prologues (if a new game is milking, what is a prologue version?) if polyphoney wouldn#t have had so many problems with the gt5 release and so many stuff they had to fix after the release.
