Are we seriously falling into the same traps as we did regarding Wii third party titles years ago? I remember, for instance, when Boom Blox sold something on the order of 50,000 copies first month, and people were yelling "lol Boooooooomb" from the rooftops. All of these people were conspicuously silent when later, lifetime reports of the game's sales came in.

If you want to prove hypocrisy you're going to have to show people doing both those things you said.  YOu can't accuse a group of hypocrisy because you have no idea which individuals said one thing and which said the later opposite thing, could be two completely different groups of people.  If you want people to actually care about such an accusation you're going to have to bring more than "People said that, now they say this......as far as I can recall"

Whats wrong with asking for a game on the system? If its not releasing on the system they say it sucks cause it has no 3rd party support and not enough "hardcore" games. If we request more 3rd party games they say we are selfish hypocrites. Make up your minds what you want haters.

well a "Demon's Souls 2" can't really come to WiiU, as Sony owns the IP "Demon's Souls"

and that's the reason why the successor was called Dark Souls

but I agree that Dark Souls 3 has a good chance to come to WiiU if it's made (seems likely)

Do people signing this petition actually believe DSII would be anything other than a straight port? I don't even think it would use the gamepad at all.

Best WiiU owners should expect would be a DSIII.

There's no point. The limited market of the Wii U and the difficulty in dealing with a 2nd screen and awkward architecture means that to port DS II to it wouldn't be worth it.

have you seen this thread?  you posted in it so it is fair to say you have.

educate yourself before making a big purchase and reconize that the risk of being an early adopter is losing support.  i stayed out of the blu-ray/HD-dvd thing until it was settled because i didn't want to get screwed over.  so if you want a nintendo console, go for it.  but given the evidence, if your console of choice doesn't get supported you have no one to complain to but yourself.  if you don't have the money to buy multiple consoles then i highly suggest you don't spend your money early in a gen so you can make sure your one and only console purchase for the gen gives you the games you want to play.

the "high horse" i'm annoyed by is the at launch opinion of "i'm buying a nintendo console because all i want to play is nintendo games" quickly followed up by "why doesn't my nintendo console play the games i want".  granted, that's only a handful of posters here but they are very, very vocal about their bad decisions.
