i would think anyone who cares about this game would already have one.  as niche as this game is i doubt there are too many fans of the series that haven't played it.

Right!  Bringing this game to the Wii U is a disservice.  My thing is that the Wii U currently has the best selling 3rd party games for 2012 that are not selling.  If the highest selling 3rd party games cant sell on the system, why should a developer port to sell 15 to 20k copies.  The old addage of "well development costs..." is out the window for the Wii U. userbases and shit like that matter this time around.

Are we seriously falling into the same traps as we did regarding Wii third party titles years ago? I remember, for instance, when Boom Blox sold something on the order of 50,000 copies first month, and people were yelling "lol Boooooooomb" from the rooftops. All of these people were conspicuously silent when later, lifetime reports of the game's sales came in.
