I just looked through this article, and I was struck by the differences in responses.
We all know that PR people choose their words carefully in cases like this, so let's look at the wording of some of them, starting with the least encouraging...
EA titles (Army of Two, Crysis, Dead Space, Fuse): "No Plans" - this is the most explicit statement you can get. EA aren't really supporting the Wii U, it's quite obvious. Sad, but based on what I've seen, we're likely to see only the annualised titles like Madden and perhaps something from Will Wright.
But for some of the others, the wording is interesting...
South Park: The Stick of Truth - "THQ hasn't announced plans for a Wii U version of the game and is focusing attention on the current versions". This is a case where the choice of wording is significant. It hasn't been announced, and they're focusing attention on the current versions. Not focusing effort, focusing attention. It is likely that a Wii U version is on the way, but will be delayed relative to the other versions, and they don't want people holding off until the Wii U version releases.
DmC - 'All we could get was a rep for Capcom reiterating that the game is "confirmed" for the above platforms.' If all Capcom is willing to say is which platforms it's confirmed for, then that again suggests that there's more going on behind the scenes.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - "So if we were going to make it for the Wii U we'd have to start from zero again and really design something for that console, so we could say 100% that it was a good game for this console." When a developer doesn't plan to support a system, they talk it down subtly. The game's producer, on the other hand, uses words suggesting that they want to target the system properly, and not just port a game over - note that he also makes a point to say that they haven't tested the engine on the system, so it's not because porting would be hard. Remembering Nintendo's position of offering support to developers that do exactly that, it's possible that a Metal Gear game is in development for the Wii U right now. It might not be MGS5, though.
Tomb Raider - "the announced platforms for Tomb Raider = X360, PS3, PC. No Wii U." This is the standard reply given when the rep doesn't actually know what's going on, and is just working from an information sheet. Being Square Enix, this doesn't surprise me. At the least, the rep hasn't been told that it certainly isn't coming, he or she just knows which platforms have been announced.
My bet is that we'll see South Park somewhere in the middle of 2013, that DmC is on the way to the Wii U at some point, and that a Metal Gear game is in development, but still early in the process. Tomb Raider's one that's harder to judge, based on the reaction.
One last one to mention - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2: "We can't confirm any info on the Wii U at this time" - that's almost an admission of the game coming to the system. Another noteworthy thing is that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is coming to the 3DS in March 2013. I find it unlikely that Konami would make a game for the 3DS, but fail to also support the Wii U. From IGN: "Mirror of Fate will have a climax that will set up the events of Lords of Shadow 2". So I'd expect Lords of Shadow 2 to appear on the Wii U alongside the other two, which don't yet have a solid release date.
