Does it matter if the US is enough to keep it ahead? And wow this is quite interesting, the WiiU will launch lower than Vita but sell more lifetime wow lol.

The WiiU had a much weaker launch in Europe than PS3 and is still outpacing it.

It's not really good.....it had months and months of pre-orders. Expect a huge drop next week just like in the US. |
Still sold much better than both PS3 AND xbox360. Only combined PS360 sold SLIGHTLY better than Wii U in its first week. Granted I'm talking about the US launch regarding these numbers. And in its second week in the US it has actually GAINED an even larger leap over either of PS3 or xbox360, and only by combining the numbers of PS360 are they outselling Wii U, and not even by a great deal then. Wii U have had a much better launch than either of PS3 and xbox360 - and that's a fact. It's only a disappointment by comparing it with the Wii, and then PS3 has to be an even greater failure when compared to PS2. Do YOU see the PS3 as a failure? I don't.
And I don't think Wii U will be anything at all like the 3DS, considering up to this point the 3DS has actually outsold its predecessor, and I don't think the Wii U will do that...
So everything you say is wrong. That whole post is wrong.

lol I got it now.
PS3 have a terrible US and Japan launch
you can compare the "bad level" between PS3 (US/JP) and Wii U (EU)... the PSV looks like a best seller lol.
PS. I'm a little drunk... lol again?

IS it though? US is only enough to keep a console relevant is you DOMINATE THAT MARKET. I highly doubt Wii U will do that, but its way too early to tell.
For all we know the Wii U will flop even harder than the Vita. Or not. We just don't know.
All we DO know is that Wii U launched in the holidays, and sold less than the Vita which launched in February.(in Europe) You can't just ignore this...

Apparently I was wrong ^^ don't know where I got the numbers from now... How many days does that account for for PS3 and xbox360?
EDIT: This graphic is actually broken. That week is ending with December 10th, when Xbox360 actually went on sale on December 2nd, and it's first weeks numbers should have ended on the 3rd of December, so this graphic is actually showing TWO weeks worth of sales.

Just my opinion.
Just look at Wii U's price point....is it really something to brag about that it outsold the launch of the $400 360 or $600 PS3 in America?
Do I see the PS3 as a failure? Depends. If I compare it to the PS3 then yes it is a failure.
Also, its worth keeping in mind that however "horrible" the 360 and PS3 launches were, they were "saved" by amazing 3rd party support and games like Call of Duty. We don't know how good 3rd party support will be on Wii U, but if we look at the history of Nintendo, it probably wont' be very good compared to the competition.

Everything related to games have Fridays releases in Europe with little exceptions... so two days like everything else.

We also know it sold better the Vita in the US. Whats your point?
