Seriously, why does it look so bad? I'm not trolling, I'm fucking serious.

Looks like they just took an image from the framebuffer before post processing effects kicked in.

Looks fine to me...but I am not as picky as some on visuals. I'll wait and see, likely be an end of 2013 purchase.

yes i guess it is what we were expecting but i'll take lara any day as a protagonist, looks like she is having to learn fast on the island, hopefully they have some decent island puzzle/exploration amongst the run and gun

Still looks really good, but they've dialed back the graphics
, some, from that first footage they showed. Regardless, I can't wait, I've always felt that the Tomb Raider games had the best exploration.

yea that was the first thing i noticed, but it's still a buy. you making the official thread? the dial back may just be for these screen shot, and to have something out there?

did you enjoy the last Tomb raider game? i've yet to play it.

Last Tomb Raider game I thoroughly enjoyed was Legend. Underworld was somewhat fun, but the puzzles were too much, and I've yet to play Anniversary. I have all three on PC now (thank you Steam), so I'll play through them before this release.

underworld was my favorite because of the puzzles heh. Looks too much like uncharted though. Hopefully, it will still have some of the big puzzle rooms, with the setpieces in between.

Finally some platforming but looks very linear. Prefer the light puzzle elements of older TR games.

Overall I really just despise the direction they've taken the series here. Don't look like a Tomb Raider game at all really. I'll wait for the reviews to make a final judgement but so far it looks like I'll just replay Legend, Anniversary and Underworld (actually havn't even finished Underworld)

This looks exactly like Uncharted, lol. I was pleasently surprised that the "drag guy to fire" part was not a quicktime event but then came the wolf fight. I'll pass.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

You guys seriously don't see how bad this looks even in motion? I really expected a lot better at this stage of the game, I really hope the game doesn't look like that on release.

It's not even that, it's the low poly everything and shitty textures and bad looking character models.

It's not that bad.

On top of the things I listed right above your post, the animation is rigid as hell too. I don't know what the hell they've been doing these past few years, maybe I'm just being harsh because this was one of my more anticipated games but jebus....
