love you too. Sorry if I set a bar for what most gamers see as the bare minimum for quality.

You're missing the point. This thread wasn't about quality. It was about sales and you know it. You only mentioned quality when you realized your point wouldn't be valid on its own.

Mentioned the 70+ meta thing from the start.

You don't know my MO outside vgchartz, but I always rock the one-two punch (meta and sales). I do so together so nobody can tell me I neglected one or the other.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

The troll thread was very apparent yet people still got caught into arguing, this is sad, I expect a pointless retaliation thread which will be even sadder

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Ugh.. sales, C'mon!

Yay!!!

That just shows how diverse the offerings of PS3 is. I would happily sacrifice Halo 4 for being able to choose from all those games.

You able to choose from all those games but the better question is anyone buying those games? I'll take Halo 4 over all those exclusive any day and if I want diverse games I just pick up 3rd party games which in most cases are better then most exclusives.

Journey has sold over 1 million, I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 2. But still, HALO is beast. I doubt it would stand to next years PS3 exclusives though.

Why is the PSP game even being counted? Why not just compare the full GT games vs. full Forza games, which would include Horizon. Horizon is a full game, no? It's like not counting Ascension in the future when talking about the GoW series. I don't think that's the way.

Because I was talking about his sig which is counting all of these games?  Why are you getting upset, I excluded all three of those games from the main series just like Horizons is not the main series.  If you want me to include Horizons then shouldnt I include prologue?   Pezus we are just never going to agree. I still respect you though just because you are at least pretty honest about things.

Why do you think I am upset? Prologue is a demo for GT5. Horizon is a full Forza game, at full price, not a demo or a prologue for another game.

A demo that you had to buy which is why it is included in GT series sold.  You can't count something for being sold but then say no you can't count it for a score, that is a double standard.  On a side note I never did understand why Prologue sold so well lol  Really does show you how big the series is that they can get away with selling that for $40 and be successful haha

Yes, a demo that you could buy. But no one expects a demo to score well on metacritic, and frankly it's not fair to include it in comparisons like that.

Well then it isn't fair to put it in sales now either is it? lol  See we just don't agree haha At least you're reasonable though and actually have good debates.

No, that's okay because it actually cost money. I mean, I would count a turd's sales if it sold over 5m.

Then it should be reviewed as well. People were playing Prologue 2 years before they got GT5

So, 4 million 360 owners had a choice of 1 (one) game and they bought it, and 4 million ps3 owners had a choice to buy one of half dozen games and they bought it.

Now you may want to discuss the budget of these games.

One Piece is missing from the PS3 list. Its the biggest PS3 exclusive of the Year with ~900k sold in Japan.

Im curious - What were the highest 360 exclusives before Halo? Kinect Star Wars?

Minecraft XBLA

or

Forza Horizon

Fixed, since Minecraft is a PC port

But its not on PS3! Geez!

Hey Im listing PS3 games that you can find on the Vita and PS2. Im totally being a nice guy Pezus.

Dude come on, Exclusive -

(of a commodity) Not obtainable elsewhere

(of an item or story) Not published or broadcast elsewhere

What?

That means Halo CE, Halo 2, Gears of War, Fable 3, etc, are not exclusives since they are also in PC?

D=

I think there are a number of users on these forums that need to grow up a little and realize something. There are going to be some fights you can win, but there are also going to be some fights that you can't win. We are on the doorstep of another generation, and a lot of you need to learn something about picking your fights, and not getting stuck in no win situations. Listen Sony fans it wasn't the original poster that was hurting you. It was reality that wasn't going to let you spin your way out of this.

There just wasn't a trade up here. Every argument that could be made already had a built in counter argument that made the situation look ten times worse. You basically did a good job of destroying your brand. While if you just held your tongue the damage might have been contained. If you actually hadn't responded, or just been honest about the situation. Where would the argument have gone. Right off the front page.

By the way attacking the original poster won't get you anywhere, because I can about guarantee you that is what he wanted in the first place. It makes you look bad, it makes him look good, and it actually hurts your case. When you are resorting to personal attacks it is a sure sign that you don't have any good arguments to make. This isn't just hypothetical. It is just a instinctive understanding. Have you ever seen two people arguing, and the other starts to spit curse words at the other person. Have you ever once thought that guy was the smarter of the two. I think I can rest my case on that one.

The most damning thing is there doesn't seem to be a lot of thought put into the consequences of arguments. Is it really that smart to say Prologue wasn't a real game. What does that make Sony look like as a company. What kind of company sells half finished products at retail prices. A greedy company perhaps, or is it a company with a total disdain for the intelligence of their customers. Is it smart to ignore standards about exclusivity. You gotta know that Microsoft fans are going to mine this thread. Anytime in the future you say PC means it isn't exclusive. Someone is going to throw this thread right in your face. Your basically laying the foundations for you to be utterly discredited in the future. There are things you said in this thread that are going to haunt you, and you still didn't win.

The original poster basically owned a lot of you guys from the word go. He let you lower your bar all the way to the ground, and he let you discredit all your most treasured arguments. He even let you self deport yourselves into the penalty box. Don't get me wrong I am sure he is just thrilled with the damage he did himself, but I am sure he is probably prouder of the fact that he got you to do the real damage.

Forums are about debate, and some of you need to bring your game up a few notches. Otherwise in a few months when the next generation shows up, and we get inundated with new members. You are going to get just plain eaten alive.
