Forums - Gaming - 3DS and Vita top selling multiplats

So feel free to post any games I missed. Sadly there aren't a lot.

Rayman Origins: Vita .25, 3DS .02

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heros: Vita .06, 3DS .17

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7: Vita .03, 3DS .20

FIFA 13: Vita .08, 3DS .06

Time Travelers: Vita .03, 3DS .03

The average for Vita is .090 while the average for 3DS is .096. These numbers  are far too close for such a small sample size to support multiplats performing better on one system over another. Factor in that the PS Vita has digital sales (albeit a few) for all of these and has an eighth of the user base and the notion that 3rd party games perform better on 3DS is preposterous.

EDIT 1: Added Time Travelers.

Your conclusion doesn't match up with the research you put into your topic. If you meant that "the notion that 3rd party multiplatform (shared with Vita) games perform better on 3DS is preposterous", then I guess I'll give you that. But overall, 3rd party content has been much more successful on the 3DS than the Vita.

Vita wins

I see that Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward isn't even in the database here at all. Along with a load of other stuff, but I won't get into that now. Sigh.

I was going to suggest like-for-like franchises could be compared as well. For example, there are Super Monkey Ball Games for both 3DS and Vita. But the Vita one isn't in the database either. Longer sigh...

Perhaps something like Metal Gear Solid 3DS v Metal Gear Solid HD could be compared, but I suppose that wouldn't really be fair either as one is two games, and one is a sole game.

LEGO Lord of the Rings is one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks which came out for both systems.

the rayman comparison isn't fair because it had quite the botched release on 3DS. It came out months later in europe and has yet to be released in NA and Japan

EDIT: you could compare Asphalt and Ridge Racer games if you want...not technically multiplats though.

Another thread to make Sony fans look bad? JoeTheBro, maybe you are really a Nintendo fan, after all.

Maybe we should help him with the rules. How about "best selling third party games with Metacritic score below 60"? Vita may have a chance in that one.

those numbers are staggering

People at Kyoto should be alarmed, another price cut incoming?

Vita is a beast!

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
