multiplatform sales are impacted by exclusive 3rd party sales. Because the more exclusives you have the more likely people will buy that instead of a fifa game which they already most likely have on a consoles. If your handheld offers you less exclusives and less options you have no other option but to buy what is available to you, or your system collects dust.

OP still hasn't acknowledged the fact that the only reason the numbers are slightly skewed to Vita is because Rayman Origins was a launch title for Vita while it released months later for 3DS in Europe and hasn't even been released in NA and Japan. Its basically a Vita exclusive at this point. Additionally, the sample size is much too small to draw any type of conclusion. If there weren't holes in VGChartz data, maybe this thread would work but in its current state it is pretty much useless

I understand. Taking out Rayman makes some sense but I'll leave it in the OP since it is multiplat. Removing it gives the Vita an average of .045 while the 3DS has an average of .115. That heavily favors the 3DS but again this is such a small sample size that it doesn't mean too much. About the only thing it can show is that both are in the same ballpark.

No this proves games in general sell better on the 3DS.  People aren't buying portable consoles for multiplatform games.  This is not the home console market.  They work a little different.  Games for portable consoles that are big seem to all be exclusives wether 3rd or 1st party exclusives.  I know you are trying to make the vita look good here and that is cool you like it but if you do side by side comparisons with the 3DS it just makes the Vita look pathetic.  Reccomendation would be not to do that.  Just talk about the games you like but a comparison will always end badly.

I really don't care about making the vita look good, that is a lost cause on this site. A comparison will always end badly because people usually don't bother to think before posting. I could correctly state that the highest rated game of 2012 (including home consoles) is on Vita and most responses would try to twist and devalue this achievement instead of just acknowledging it.

With this thread all I did was post sales from the database that actually can be directly compared and apparently even this needs to be twisted and thrown out.

I get what you are saying and all but you kind of put this on yourself.  You directly compared it to the 3DS so people are going to make comparisons themselves. And I actually see a lot support for the Vita on this site.  You need to understand you are on a sony user site so things to do with sony will be supported a lot on this site.  It gets much more hate than it does love I know but if you go and talk to people on the street, most people doesnt even know what a vita is.  Go to other websites and you may not even hear one good thing about the vita.  

Sorry to bring this up and I realise it's beyond your control if you don't have the tools anymore, but...

Is nothing going to be done about this?  I mean, is it going to get to the stage where more and more games are missing because they were announced after you had the tool to add games removed?  So we'll get the weekly Famitsu top 10 and VGChartz Japan top 10 will be different because one of the games just isn't in the database anymore?

Or are you expecting to get them back in the near future?  Just seems like at some point next year there just isn't going to be any numbers tracking anymore if no games can be added to the database to be tracked in the first place.  It is a little frustrating to see certain games have no representation already.  And like I say, I know it's not your fault but I don't know who else to ask about it.
