I'm going to make these things into a constant side-project. I don't know if I can do one a week, but I currently have a couple in production. I'm hoping that other people decide to put as much work into these as I do, so we can have a cool little community like in some other VGChartz threads and maybe even some fun debates.

As for your questions:

1. Not much would be different, the 360 would be a few million more units ahead of the PS3 maybe, but the RROD was something that affected only a minority of 360 owners. The biggest effect would be that Microsoft would have had more money left over to spend on R&D and development.

2. Either Sony would have taken a massive loss, or the system would have to have been weaker. Those are two separate stories.

3. I sort of investigated things related to this, and I can't imagine Nintendo leaving the price that high by the time the Vita came out unless they made the system differently.

4. Now THAT would have been interesting. Hmm...

Sales in general. Unless you're focusing on a single region, your numbers just strike me as strangely low. Have you reviewed the annual charts here yet? They are a great source of information.
