I'm going to trust Michael "Pach Attack" Pachter on this one, PS4 will release same day or before when Nextbox releases, about late 2013 to Q1 2014.

Mid 2013 for Japan. Late 2013 for everyone else. The one positive about this gen lasting so long is that they've had much longer to prepare these consoles. Expect the unexpected!!!

I think it will launch in a limited, expensive capacity in late 2013. They will continue to push the PS3 as an affordable option, and the PS4 will be for elitist tech lovers. They can't really afford to wait much longer than that as Wii U is going to have it's way in Japan starting in a few weeks. In all honesty, I'm not sure what Sony can do to compete with Wii U...it's already a major mistake allowing Nintendo to launch first for the first time since they have been competitors...they really can't allow much more of a head start.

I still reckon either late 2014 or early 2015...

I think it will do pretty well no matter when it releases though as I expect Sony to price it more sensibly/competitively this time.
