Forums - Nintendo - Mickey, Batman, or Ninja Gaiden?

I'm trying to isolate a Christmas game for me to pick up, something from the Wii U launch set. Batman, of course, comes highly acclaimed, although i have a mixed track-record with liking Western games (no bias against them in general, but some of the tropes they embrace tend not to work with me as well). Ninja Gaiden is an unknown quantity, sounding like a good-enough action-game (especially since the Wii U version fixes the problems of the original)

Epic Mickey is the only one who's forebear i have played before, and i did enjoy it as a neat 3D platformer, though it wasn't without its problems, and this version of the game seems to be getting some bad word of mouth.

So i appeal to the mob. PS360 folks who have played Arkham City or Ninja Gaiden, or Wii U people who have played any of the three games at hand. What should i ask for for Christmas?

Would one of these be on top of a bunch of Nintendo games you'd already have played to death by x-mas?

I would like you to choose Batman. Do not support Epic Mickey because Warren Spector needs a kick in the butt to start making deep and mature games again.

I would vote (make a poll) for Ninja Gaiden, you seem to like more Japanese flavored games and is good to support the team because they listened to the gamers and fixed a lot of stuff.

I second Ninja Gaiden but Batman wouldn't be a bad choice either

Just finished Batman's story mode today and I can tell you that it is awsome. Still have 100s of challenges/trophies and riddles to solve + the Harley's revenge DLC, so I still have ALOT to do despite having spent 20hours already.

I can't stress enough on how much you should give this game a chance despite being western, you won't regret it, it's great. Especialy if your a comic book fan. Great story, great gameplay, great dialogue and characters, great voice acting... And if you are afraid of trying a western game because of their cinematic wannabe movie approche a la Uncharted, let me assure you that it is not the case for that game. It is not scripted like most western games, therr is many different ways to clear rooms of ennemies and it's open world, you have alot of choices when you play this game.
Also Batman probably have the best use of the gamepad out of the 3.

I think Ninja Gaiden is like you said, a good enough game and I'm planning on getting it among other games on christmas but I know that it's not half the game that Arkahm City is.

As for Epic Mikey, from what I've heard it's disapointing, but I can't tell you for sure cause I have'nt played it.

I'd probably go Batman out of those choices. I mean it was nominated for multiple games of the year, and it's even better on the Wii U.

I would go NG from those choices, but wont kill ya if you get batman

wait a minute! what about sega all star racing!

Well based on your choices... I'd go with Ninja Gaiden. NG3 is better on the Wii U while Batman is cheaper and superior on other platforms.

I played NG3 on the 360 and enjoyed it. I'd like to give the Wii U version a try.

Apparently Batman and especially Epic Mickey both have bad performance issues on Wii U...
