Forums - Nintendo - So Destructoid basically says every WiiU game is complete trash, but the system finally does what Nintendont! ~How can they get away with this sh*t?

Is this the third thread you make trashing the Wii U in the last days? Give it a rest.

There are good games for it. For example everyone that has played arkham city knows that score is just not quite right. Its still an amazing game. They are scoring it comparing to people who already bought the original version on the 360/PS3. Same for all the other enhanced ports that are coming out for it.

ZombieU, mario and nintendo land are the important ones because they are exclusives. I would like to see Lego city undercover, it looks like a good game.

Personally, nothing to my taste, but to feign indignation about it is a bit much. Nothing wrong with the line-up. If you remember the launch of the PS2 it was basically the same thing.

I have no problem with the scores myself. I am just wondering how Jim Sterling alone could have enough time to thoroughly review like every single Wii U game and the console on top. Is he literally the only employee there? I am pretty sure he judged some of those games in 5 hours or less which is unsatisfactory for me.

Wii U - Jim Sterling

ZombiU - Jim Sterling

Rabbids Land - Jim Sterling

Scribblenauts - Jim Sterling

Batman - Jim Sterling

NSMBU - Jim Sterling

Nintendo Land - Jim Sterling

Epic Mickey - Jim Sterling

Tank! Tank! Tank! - Jim Sterling

Ninja Gaiden - Jim Sterling

This must be some kind of record. There's just no way he could play and test all those games under normal circumstances.

"Honey! I have to pull another all nighter for work today... I know, I know, it sucks, but I really need to finish campaign mode on Batman before I can post up a review. I have like ten more games to review afterwards so I have to finish it tonight... :( It's tough, but I have to earn that cash."

If I remeber right Jim got his Wii U over 2 weeks before launch so he had enough time.

I don't think 9 games and a console in 14 days is "enough time" tbh. I'd rather have the reviewer take a rest between reviews to stay focussed. I once had 5 tests in 4 days and I barely passed the last one because I was just tired and desinterested and wanted to get it over with. I imagine you feel the same way after playing too many games consecutively so that the last games get reviewed by going "through the motions".

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Scores look fine to me, didn't most Wii games average like really crappy scores? So theses scores are like gold compared to them.

i thought most of the scores were fair (not so sure about the Scribblenauts review) but it is a bit suspect that it was all Jim...

Though i must add to this... it IS destructoid. Excellence in gaming for them is things like Deadly Premonition 9/10.

We all know by now that they are quite quirky.

No sure why or even how you can complain with how Jim reviewed Wii U and its launch titles. Sounds pretty kind to me. It's incredibly easy to hate on a console from out the gate, especially considering the launch was a bumpy one.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

7-7.5 is complete trash?

Sounds like you're just a bit angry that they aren't good ports onto the Wii U. In my opinion the Wii U can't run the higher echelon of HD games like AC3 and Batman.
