@OP, maybe its you. Maybe you just might not like the system. The Batman screenshot was clearly a shot with the textures not loaded, but their have been reviews where they said that the Wii U version had a chopiness to it. But i wouldnt say it is a shoddy port, at least not from what i played. Even if i didnt care for the pad functions.

ZombiU?? LOL come on man, did you really expect that to be stellar? Its a damn Ubisoft launch game, did you not learn your lesson from Red Steel 1? (although ZombiU looks better) or Rayman 3d?

People want to try out Mario?? No they dont, its Mario everyone knows how its going to play, you can buy just about any Mario, especially the 2d ones and know exactly what you are getting, and blame that on Ninty if you cant play the game, GS has nothing to do with it. Whats wrong with Rayman? Thats a game that NEEDS to be demoed because from the sales of the last game, people dont know about it. What are these mature games you want demoed?

So you are saying that people want to play Rayman on a Wii Ulaunch. Most people do not even know what the wii u is. Mario would be the perfect game to showcase the system. Speaking of which, the 3DS does not have a demo for heroes of ruin...no it has a demo for paper mario. Because that is what people want to try.

You and conegamer cannot tell me that third parties are not F**ed up for giving us lazy ports and zombiU

dont know what your problem with Rayman is, it wont even be out for launch. Most people dont know what Rayman is which is why it would need a demo. Mario would not be a perfect showcase, because it is Mario people know what Mario is, if they are getting the system, they dont need a demo. YOu dont need a demo for a game you will buy regardless.

3ds doesnt have a demo for heroes of ruin?? Now i know you are talking out your ass, yes it does because i have it. Dont know what that has to do with anything. You can have both demos, hell you can have demos for just about any game ala 360 and even Vita

Why are we even talking about this?

Have we seen ALL the ports for the WiiU to have the impression that all of them are lazy?

NO. The reviews for them haven't even come all the way in.

Secondly, is this console really going to fail? No way. If the reports of sell-outs during preorders are any indication, I think the opposite is going to be true. And apparently 3rd party titles ARE among the top preordered WiiU games.

Stop worrying.

i thought wii u was easy to develop for like xbox 360. why is it getting bad ports? whats their excuse this time.

We haven't seen all the ports to determine if they are bad or not. Yet.

Developers aren't superman. They can are only men and women with mortal skills and abilities. If you don't know what kind of system the developers had to work with how can you judge the final results?

Tease.

Yeah, I'd rather give the benefit of the doubt.  I think it's going to be just fine with 3rd parties.

The Wii was a revolution, the Wii U is not.

Most 3rd parties weren't successful on the Wii, no reason to believe they will be on the Wii u. Once again the Wii U will be under-powered compared to the competition.(In fact is roughly on par with current-gen consoles) Nintendo's online infrastructure is at its infancy, and Nintendo is asking people to buy their own storage so they can store all their digital downloads.

Nintendo says they want to appeal to both core and casual gamers, but its clear they are only appealing to the casuals. The tablet controller is proof of that, it won't work for core games just like motion controls didn't work. It is a gimmick. What's that? You say we can use the Pro controller? Well that's true but its sold seperately...

Nintendo is making a lot of mistakes with the Wii U launch. The certainly aren't appealing to the core gamer beyond the Nintendo faithful.

So we are getting lousy ports yet again, and exclusive games that are not worth the code that was written on them. ZombiU is getting mixed reviews, Turkish has post a screen shot of Batman that makes me want to be sick to my stomach, and we are getting Mass Effect 3.

Then I go to the Gamestop and finally get to play and use the game pad. What was playable on it? At the very end of the list if you look hard enough you can play Rayman. Yippee skippy! People want to try out Mario and some mature games to see how they work on the Wii U.

What the hell is the problem with these people and companies?

Sounds more like a typical console launch.

I know it sucks getting less-than-optimal ports (especially if you know the system can do more), but I honestly wouldn't worry about it. People tell me time and time again about how PS3 versions of multi-plats are sub-par to 360 versions, but unless you actively play both versions how are you going to tell the difference? I've done absolutely fine with the PS3 version of everything I've played, no complaints. If the 360 version of GTA IV is less muddy, that's great for whoever is playing it, but it's not going to dampen my experience of playing the game on the PS3.

I'd worry more next year if the Wii-U versions are still bad, since they'll hopefully have been developed alongside the other versions, rather than after the others. And even then, like I mentioned earlier, it's hardly a deal-breaker. Unless it's a Skyrim-PS3 type situation which I cannot see happening for Wii-U.

As for ZombiU, I genuinely do not see why Nintendo fans were getting excited for that game. I realise it has some representational significance as a... hmm, 'serious' third-party effort for the console, but from everything I've seen of it it's never looked anything more than average, in my opinion. I feel like people are getting hyped about it simply because it's a third-party exclusive at launch, rather than for what's actually there. I'd have presumed that all the people who are hyped about this game have already played Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and DayZ to get their fix of pseudo-roguelikes/serious zombie games.

Give it time, anyway. I think it's far too early to be judging anything at all for now.
