It's likely all systems will have a worse holiday in Japan this year commparing to last year. Wii U would do well though.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Speaking of budget versions, Monster Hunter 3G also gets a best price this week... but you've seen it, the box art is so bad, I refuse to post it.

It's nice box art, but the flying newspapers(?) look like reflections of her jacket so almost looks like articles of clothing? It took me a while to figure out it was papers because I kept matching it with the clothes. I couldn't resist making a comment. I keep staring at it LOL...

I imagine that's a typo on the dates, but still really interesting regardless. Never realize how the situtations were similar in the lowest times.

They aren't that similar; the 3DS' second worst week was 7k I believe, and only a few weeks were below 10k.

Well there you go I guess. The Vita is most certainly in a worse situation than the 3DS then, but I think everyone knew that. A similar table for the Vita would be interesting, and infact here it is:

If my maths is correct, the Vita has only had 10 weeks higher than the 3DS' second worst week. And that includes launch, holidays etc. 


3DS has had more weeks above 100k than the Vita has had above 20k :| Even with an extra 8 months in the market, that statistic is astonishing :|
