I think Vita will be north of 10k in next Weds' numbers. Perfect opportunity to use percentages spin.

No Vita SW in the top 50? Seriously? That's even worse than the HW sales.

It'd be one thing if the HW was low but SW was still hanging in there. That'd mean that Vita owners are receptive enough to SW despite the low HW. But not only is the HW low, but the existing and the new owners each week don't seem like they're buying much either. And really that's what should matter more to third parties. Persona and Hatsune Miku provided some good boosts but the Vita isn't going to keep getting those moderate hits at this rate.

At one point, I considered Vita could become Sony's Gamecube. The only problem with that is they would have to sell lots of software.

The caveat we have now with sales tracking is that we truly do not know how much a game has sold thanks to digital versions.

Other things:

- 21 games in the top 50 is the best 3DS week ever for software.

- Animal Crossing had a sell-through of 95%

- First day sell-through for next week is:

[PS3] Assassin's Creed III > 50%
[PSV] Assassin's Creed III - 40%-50%
[PSP] Summon Night 4 - 40%-50%
[PS3] Medal of Honor: Warfighter < 30%
[3DS] Aikatsu! Cinderella Lesson - zzz

What about that Super Mario themed 3DS that released yesterday in Japan?

How much do u think it'll help hardware sales?

It's hard to say. The game will likely launch with roughly 100,000 sales, much less than Animal Crossing, but 3DS sales might begin increasing due to natural causes anyway, especially since a couple of smaller games are also coming out. I'd guess 3DS sales will be over 120,000, but that's not a very ambitious guess.
