According to VgChartz, the 2008 version of Prince of Persia has sold about 2 million on 360 and PS3 combined. Maybe not exactly the amount the game has sold but it's most likely a good representation. Am I the only one that thinks this game was/is very underrated??? Sure, the story wasn't the best, a few gameplay issues, and a huge cliffhanger but other than that I believe that POP 08 was something special for it's time.

Just exploring the watercolored world across 4 varied environments with 4 different enemy types was just, fun. Literally the game had no loading times throughout the entire world unless you used fast travel. I loved how you saw your game progress by how corrupted the current area was. And after healing one zone it looked absolutley stunning.

Is anything agreeing with this? Everyone I've talked to thought the game was average and didn't like it. It might not be an adrenalined-filled action game, but in my opinion, it was a work of art and very much deserves a sequel. 

And you have to admit, Nolan North (Nathan Drake) delivered some very solid voice acting.

Combat was boring for me, platforming was too automatic, story didn't really interest me and they really weren't able to replicate the chemistry between the Prince and Farah in this game.

Graphics don't matter a lot to me.

The game was beautiful, but it was NOT underrated. It was the only POP that I simply couldn't finish, because it was soooo boring. I mean there was no freaking way to die. Absolute garbage when it comes to combat and exploring. NEVER do something like this again Ubi.

Still want to play it since I'm a fan of cell shaded games.  Also I don't think there will be a sequel since it looks like the next Prince of Persia game will most likely be some sort of Assasins Creed clone if the game ends up being like the early pictured of it that where leaked a few month ago.  Oh well at least there is a change for Nolan North to get some more work since he should be the prime canditate for the lead voice for the reboot.

I loved the game. Yes it's pretty easy if you go straight for the end, although the x nr combos trophy was damn hard to get. I had a lot of fun collecting all the orbs and with racing through the levels perfectly stringing all the moves together. It's one of the few games I bothered to get a platinum trophy for.
The art style puts it in the top 5 best looking games this gen. Hopefully the next pop will use the same colorful cell shading. A rewarding world to explore to find the best vantage points and take it all in.

Fantastic game, i wish there was another :(

Like others have said, this is the only PoP that couldn't hold my interest. Warrior Within was considered an emo mess, but that game had me hooked with it's plot, characters, and boobies. PoP 2008 was a game I really wanted to love. I tried but it just didn't have a soul.

To much hand holding.

The game felt like magic. I don't know how else to describe it. I wish there was more.
