Microsoft shouldn't even enter into discussion really. It's either Nintendo or Sony. Comes down to intelligence quotient and pure dedication. As Nintendo has drawn in the mindless masses with the Wii, their stock drops leaving Sony atop the mountain at present.

Talking big, mr "only 1 platinum".

Now trophies are a measure of capability? Interesting perspective. False, but interesting. I do not play games for trophies; that platinum is from early 2009.

Well, not in your case no. Most of your games don't take that much skill to complete. :d

None.

Skilled gamers do not associate or limit themselves to one brand.

Tell that to the two guys that are closing in on 1,000,000 achievement points.

What makes you think they only play Microsoft systems?

They pretty much do since going for 1,000,000 achievement points pretty much takes up all of their gaming time.

Achievement level means nothing, like you just said it takes a lot of time, not skill, to reach those high levels.  I'm not saying that they have no skill, but think about it this way:  These guys need to play a lot of games to get close to 1 million gamer score, thus they don't have the time to dedicate to one game because they need to move onto the next one immidiately.

I have a pretty low trophy level, but I bet I could kick these guys asses in Black Ops because I have played that game religiously over the last 2 years, while they probably played it and then had to ditch it to move onto the next game.

OT:  I would probably say PC.  When I think highly ckilled players I think LoL or Starcraft.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

You don't reach really high levels just by doing mid-game. You need to perfect a lot of games.

And would you say that a guy with 1000G on a game like DoA4, DMC4 and Mirror's Edge is less skilled than one who focus solely on LoL or Starcraft? That's  bull and totally contradicts BasilZero's statement.

COD takes heaps of skill dude. ive played easily 2000+ hours of COD in my life and im still getting better. id crush you at COD cause im so much more skilled than you. you wouldn't stand a chance. probably wouldn't even get a kill on me no matter how long we played.

Mainly because you know the level layouts and where to camp (if you are one of those).  When I played CoD I would post up sometimes but then after 1-3 kills or so I would move on.  However, I did run and gun a lot with SMGs and assualt rifles.  CoD is more about knowing the levels than anything else (just like most FPS).  However, if you were to both play a new FPS day 1 that you both didn't know perhaps you would be better overall.

you have no idea what it takes to dominate in COD dude. there are hundreds of different skills needed to be a great player. knowing the map layouts is nothing. Black Ops 2 just came out a day ago and im absolutely dominating (3.16 kd) cause i have a so many different skills i've worked on.

here just a few of the many skills... dropshotting, quickscoping, understanding how to manipulate spawns, using the uav like a pro, knowing what team mates have which flanks covered, jump shotting round corners, sound whoring....

You have no idea who the fuck you are talking to dude.  I was in the top 100 in HCTDM and HCHQ on BO Wii (sure only out of ~1.3m people).  Let me take a wild guess, you stick to mainly regular modes with a HUD and map.  Taking advantage of spawn points is hardly skill.  Keep flaunting your FPS skills because you aren't going to impress that many people.  I now view FPS in the same light as MMOs, a waste of time.

top 100 on BO Wii? hahaha stop embarrasing yourself dude. i wouldn't care if you were number 1 in the world on Wii!! No one that's any good at COD plays on the Wii. Also you say out of 1.3m people?!? dude the majority of those 1.3m (actually only a fraction of that 1.3m plays multiplayer) were playing regular TDM, FFA, DOM and SnD. So I would say you were top 100 out of maybe 2k people at most dude. Seriously top 100 in HCHQ on Wiii? haha were there even 100 people playing HCHQ on Wii?

On XBOX i have a 4.4kd in Black Ops. On MW3 i have a 4.2 kd and a 7 win ratio. I am top 100 in the world for the following accolades... Most Kills, Highest kill/death ratio, Longest killstreak, Most damage dealt, Longest Life, Fewest deaths...

BTW I play most game modes but i specialize in SnD, Dom and TDM. They are the 3 most popular game modes in COD so my accolades mean a shit load more than yours dude. My main game is SnD which doesn't even have respawn so saying I take advantage of spawn points is bullshit. I said "i manipulate spawn points" and that's by the way i move around the map. I'll give you an easy example so you can understand noob.. In nuketown as long as none of your team mates cross over the second bus in the middle of the map the other team will always spawn on their side of the map so you will never be flanked by them in a spawn switch. That's how a good team plays. Stupid players just run all over the map like headless chickens trying to get a kill no matter what happens. i can see you doing this mr 'Run n Gun a lot"

Just so you know Hardcore mode is for stupid spray n pray noobs. It's based on reflexs and nothing else. It doesn't use a minimap and the minimap is a huge part of COD. Top 100 on Wii in HCHQ?!?!?! hahahahahaha!!! what a joke!!

I will keep flaunting my FPS skills cause actually there are actually a lot of people that are impressed with a quality COD player. It is the most popular game of all time dumbass!

for the shooter crowd it would have to be MS and PC gamers.

For RPGs, Racing, dynamic games.....Sony Gamers definitely go the hardest.

Puzzles and Party Games, probably Nintendo.
