My #44, as guessed by Scoobes, is Far Cry Instincts

Haha, omg, I thought you were kidding about that.  When you said Far Cry Instincts I thought that was the Wii game that got universally panned and you were using it as a joke.  I didn't know there had been an Xbox remake!  Doh.

You guys probably would have booted me out of this thread had I picked the Wii version :D

44th - Deus Ex (PC, 2000)
A hybrid between genres, mixing elements from FPS, Adventure and RPGs, Deus Ex was a monster of a game when it comes to the story and ability to give the players a huge variety of options when it came to tackling adversities or just progressing the game. While it did have some flaws, such as pretty bland graphics, even for it's time, badly done interfaces when it came to Security hacking or lockpicking and some poorly executed animations, Deus Ex stands as one of the greatest games to ever grace the PC catalogue and the entire RPG genre.
One of the biggest highlights of the game was it's lenghty and extensive text-based lore, which complemented the overall plot and story line quite well and had some amazing, some obscure and some downright odd allusions to various works of fiction, literature, pop culture and many others. Reading through all the entries could easily overshadow the entire duration of the game itself.
A shout out to Bob Page as well, one of the most well thought and executed Villains in any video game. His rhetorics and discourses with JC Denton are nothing short of great.

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

43: MaxwellGT will kill me for putting this game so low .

Great pick, lestat. Nothing short of a masterpiece.

My clue for #43:

This N64 game really came out of left field.

#44 - Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)

As correctly guessed by Miz, my number 44 is SMG2.  While there were things about this sequel which I considered a step back over the original, it was still an absolute juggernaut of a game that I thoroughly enjoyed all the way through.  The beautiful artstyle, colourful worlds, inventive platforming and awesome replayability just came together in one fantastic package.

Clue for my #43 - A game where if you were weak, you could call cousin vinnie for a bit of extra help.  Strange obsession with broccoli, too.

Your #43 is SimCity 3000! Played that a million times a long time ago, until SimCity 4 came out, which I found to superior. Both will be on my list to! Great games, one can only hope SC5 will be able to stand in the shadow of these two. Also, no one dares to try to guess my #44? I know the clue is tough, but I'm gonna have to post it in a few hours ...

Correct :)

I actually preferred 3000 to SimCity 4 (which was a bit laggy on my PC), but they're both excellent games.  And yeah, I share your hopes for SC5!

So my 44 is Epic Mickey. 43 is the first title with a man from Grenesheller and his apprentice.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

My 45 - Street fighter EX plus Alpha - Playstation 1

What a game.  This + EX2 were seriously under-rated, in my opinion.  Loads of fun.  And Doctrine Dark is an awesome character :D

heard a few rumours of it coming to xbl and psn a while back but nothing really came of it and from what I heard when they were arranging the characters for super street fighter 4 and the arguments with Arika I think there will never be another version of this out, massive shame really.... need to get out the psone to get the EXplosion's rolling :D
