I know, they even posted Sony's reports on this site themselves. They've done it again, after placing God Of War 3 at 4.51m while Sony placed it at 5.2m as far back as June 30, 2012 and GT5, which has actually sold over 9 million units a long while back, is tracking at 8.63m this week. In fact, they have undertracked all GOW games, in reference to Sony's June 30, 2012 official report, excluding Saga whose sales haven't been reported by Sony.

The gap was originally a lot bigger than that when the numbers were first posted.  They were both undertracked by a lot.

ioi did make adjustments, he just spread out the amount he'd undertracked them by over 2 weeks (the week before Black Friday + Black Friday), if that makes sense.  So the sales of the week before Black Friday for PS3 + Vita are too high, and the sales for Black Friday week are too low.

I guess it was saving face or something.

Week 8 is up, Gap over 2 million, PS3 outselling X360 by 1.3 million in 2012. Week 9 will be updated as soon as official Japan numbers are in, should be soon.

i believe this holiday sales gap will be under 100K for the 360 and the PS3 will sell 1.5M more than 360... not bad for a slow year, PS3 SW wise...

PS3 is kicking the ass without adjustments.
