Animal Crossing is sort of a guilty pleasure for me, but I was disappointed by the Wii version since it was basically the same game as the DS version. What are the new gameplay features of New Leaf, besides just more collectables? What can you do as mayor that you couldn't do before?
Babble babble bitch bitch rebel rebel party party sex sex sex and don't forget the violence. Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad and lonely stick your stupid slogan in. Everybody sing along.
You can place your house where you want, you can build bridges, put benches and other stuff all over the village.
You can visit people's villages in your dreams, you can totally customize the look of your house, you can combine your clothes (hat, upper, bottom, socks, shoes). Receiving new designs is easy via QR codes. You can take photos of yourself in the village by pressing L+R together.
There are a lot of small changes like this, but in the end it isn't really radically different from the previous versions. If you became tired of those, this might not be for you.

In City Folk if you ran in the grass it would turn into dirt over time... and never grow back.
I'm quite curious if this is gone in New Leaf as well, as it was easily my biggest pet peeve in CF. I had to create elaborate pathways so that I would avoid running on the grass. >_>

Sounds pretty hardcore. When my neighbor's kids step on my lawn I threaten them with violence.
Hey no fair!!!! I was going to make an official thread and all but I was too lazy... I wanted more details too. You must give me details. Also, are we friends yet? Because we should since I usually pimp the shit out of my AC town.

Supposedly they were supposed to patch that or it grow back eventually. It never did though... That is why I made a stone tile path which you had to start running on the real stone tiles or you would pick the path up. My AC:City Folk town was pretty bad ass (I had a lot of custom Nintendo designs of characters (even Luigi holding a shotgun aka Duck Hunt)).
