i have to know is Grass deterioration gone?

What exactly do you mean?

In City Folk if you ran in the grass it would turn into dirt over time... and never grow back.

I'm quite curious if this is gone in New Leaf as well, as it was easily my biggest pet peeve in CF. I had to create elaborate pathways so that I would avoid running on the grass. >_>

Oh, I didn't play the Wii version.

I ran around a lot, and until now the grass has stayed the same as far as I can tell.

Did they fix the other people picking up your tiles on the ground at least? I don't know why they allowed visitors to pick up those tiles in the first place. On AC:CF I had so many designs that I had to switch characters to find which pattern was picked up sometimes.  Or better yet can you even place your designs on the ground still?

Yes, you can place your designs on the ground. But I don't know if people can pick them up.

I hope visitors can't pick them up. That was a big pet peeve of mine. I didn't mind it too much but it still was an unnecessary hassle.

So any new updates? It has been a couple days now. You banking money? Should have a fishing rod by now which is usually the easiest way to make money.  Anybody visit your town or you visit theirs?  Anything new that you have encountered?

Thanks, that is a pretty cool link (and it has a live feed right now).

Looks pretty good...haven't played an ac game since the gc version (owned wii version but never got into it)...
might pick this up. Didn't know it was out in japan...might 've made a useful pre xmas release in the west but I guess it'll take time to translate it.

Yeah, I'm earning lots of money by catching fish, insects and by diving for seafood. :P

The island resort is awesome at night. Expensive bugs and sharks galore!

I visited my wife's village and got some fruits over there.

I buy a fortune cookie every day. The included fortune slip can be exchanged for stuff. So far I've got the Master Sword, the Blue Falcon, Midna's Mask etc.

Rolling in the Nintendo items.  Sounds like it easier to obtain than the Nintendo items on City Folk.  Though they weren't that hard to get after awhile it still took about a week or so to build up enough points.

I was watching that live feed and the guy was running around breaking up all the rocks (looked like some turned into gems or turnips not sure) while a timer was counting down.  Pretty unusual considering you never were able to break those rocks before.
