Forums - Nintendo - Gung Ho (Game Arts) developing a title for the 3DS

I am a big fan of the grandia series, grandia 3 for me was the best in the series. Would love a new grandia game on the 3ds, would buy that on launch.

Before my post as lost I saying another BoF in the same vein as 3 or a combo of 3 and 4( both have strength and weakness that could be covered combined) would be awesome. I own every BoF and Love em all. I have been buggin CAPCOM since 2007 for a new BoF and even created the BoF group on unity and brought members from dragon-tear.net help but to avail. Capcom only wants action games. The only reason I still have hop is that the important staff to BoF still works at Capcom, Both just finished Dogma.

As for Wild arms, also own the whole series and they were great till 4&5 when they started being aimed at kids, but I love to see another installment, not that long it as announced by the composer that one was in development but nothing ever came.

Not really to do with the exact content of your post but you do know BOF's creator passed away years ago and BOF5 was only done as a tribute to him, it was mentioned a while back that Capcom would put the series to rest and never do anymore installments to the game as a result. The best any BOF fan can hope for is that they remake any of the BOF games already out.

BOF3 and BOF4 are brillient games.

Tokuro Fujiwara and Makoto Ikehara are generally credited as as BoF main creators. Fujiwara did BoF 1&2 while Ikehara did 3-5(DQ) with current artist Tatsuya Yoshikawa. All are still alive. CAPCOM has said they know that there is a demand for BoF but the lack of staff and combined with the competition has the IP in resting. Ikehara said he will do another when he has a unique idea for it. He wants the  next BoF to be special. That stuff about not making any more is hogwash as 2 sequeals have been made already for mobile devices.

Soriku, Grandia has the best battle sys ever and Grandia 2 is phenomenal. I own all of Grandia and the only bad one was Xtreme mainly because it was a dungeon crawler.

get Grandia 2 and 3 and 1

I'll consider 3 then...

What're you guys' thoughts on it?

No. Play 2 first thats the highlight of the series. 3 is fantastic gameplay wise, very balanced and fast paced(all are fast but this one is xxceptionally) with xxcellent special effects but lacks in story department.

Also,Camelot(Golden Sun guys) said they would do a BoF is Capcom would let them. I against them touching BoF though.

Same. Camelot needs to work on a new Shining Force game instead.

I don;t trust Game Arts anymore. After Grandia III and Lunar on DS they are a shell of what they once were. PLus the creator of Grandia died last year. Shame I used to love GA but they just are not very good anymore

I know it probably won't happen, but a new Lunar game would be pretty cool for nostalgia's sake.

@ryudo, i think if u played : ragnarok odyssey u would agree that game arts can still make very good games. so i think the 3ds game will be just fine.

Sega has comdemned the one awesome and diverse Shining franchise to stock anime character design based RPG hell, so that is unlikely.

Camelot should start working on another Golden Sun game for the 3DS or for as a Wii U eShop title.
