I know it probably won't happen, but a new Lunar game would be pretty cool for nostalgia's sake.

Did you miss Lunar DS? It was a piece of shit. You klost HP for walking in the game.

Stick with the PSP port

Soriku, Grandia has the best battle sys ever and Grandia 2 is phenomenal. I own all of Grandia and the only bad one was Xtreme mainly because it was a dungeon crawler.

get Grandia 2 and 3 and 1

I agree with all of this--especially the bolded--except that Xtreme is great, too, if you enjoy dungeon crawlers.

Sorry about the slight necro. I was looking for news about this and i completely missed this thread.

First i want to dispel doubts that Grandia 3 is bad, or a bad port (its not a port at all, it was made for the PS2 and only released on that platform. I think the person got it confused with the Grandia 2 port on the PS2, wich while still beeing an awesome game wasnt as good as the Dreamcast version), or short.
Grandia 3 has 40+ hours of gameplay as any average RPG, has amazing graphics, the always incredible combat system and is alot of fun. The only issue with it was the story was not as amazing as the first 2 games, so some people are harsh with it. I still enjoyed it alot. If you are a Grandia fan and havent played it yet, by all means try to get your hands on it.

Grandia Xtreme has similar issues. Good characters and awesome combat system, but very little story at all. As far as dungeon crawlers go, its cream of the crop.

Now for the topic, i reall really wish that this new game is a grandia game. Grandia 1,2 and 3 can easily be ported to the 3DS, but a new Grandia (4) would be a dream come true. I wouldnt be sad with a remake of Lunar 2 or a Lunar 3, but in my heart the series i miss the most is Grandia. Fingers crossed.

PS: FOX, i bet SEGA is kicking themselves in the teeth for not having believed on Shining Force. With Fire Emblem awakening selling 460k in Japan alone, i wonder if SEGA will atempt to resurrect Shining Force has a tactical RPG again (hate what they did with SFNeo, so lets not even mention that).
