Easy shit. All you have to do is simply compile a list of what you consider the most badass video game characters. My list is as follows:

Number 5 - Pico

The epic turtle-man from F-Zero

Not only is he a part-time assassin when he doesn't race, but he is so devoted to killing that he is willing to fuck up his stats completely (by spinning around uncontrollably into the other racers). If you ever see him finish a race at around 20th place (which is approximately 10 places higher than usual), the most likely reason is that the 10 racers behind are dead.

Number 4 - Master Chief

No, he is not the guy in my avatar

So far, Master Chief has protected Reach and the Earth by killing countless Covenant forces and flood creatures, destroyed High Charity, blown up two Halo rings with the second explosion also destroying the Ark (thus saving the human race more than twofold), and not once did he take a break in between those accomplishments. What have you done with your life?

Number 3 -  Ganondorf

The most epic villain of all time?

When people hear the words, "pure evil" I would imagine most people's thoughts goes to murderers and other severe criminals. Well, thanks to an awesome childhood, my thoughts goes directly to this guy instead; the man who brutally killed the Great Deku tree and indirectly made Talon lose his job as a farmer.

Number 2 - Conker

The true face of a greedy asshole

This squirrel has what might be the strongest and most iconic personality in the history of video games. Not only is he greedy beyond measurable levels (stealing money from cat-fishes, to name a somewhat less extreme example), but he is also the most arrogant creature you will ever come across. He gets shit done though, so never underestimate him or his abilities.

Number 1 - Luigi

What the hell is he looking at?

Now here we have a true video game character with balls of steel. Ever since he was created he has always been referred to as Mario's weaker, cowardly and overall inferior brother. Well, Luigi's Mansion finally proved all of them wrong, in which Luigi defied all his fear for ghosts and darkness and saved Mario all by himself. Kudos, Luigi. Kudos indeed.

I feel Ganandorf could be so much more. He for one thing never "has his way" with Zelda when he captures her. That would make him 1000x badass :P

I was gonna make a thread like this except mine was gonna be called 'pussiest main characters of all time'. I got the idea because I was playing Deus Ex and the main character is a complete and utter pussy; I could probably beat the shit out of him.

Also, the main character of Zelda seems like a complete pussy too. He has a girls name for a start. What kind of mother would call their son Zelda? He's also very androgynous; when I first saw him I couldn't tell what sex he was.
