I still don't have power, but at least this nearby library does.

I lost power for over a week once from an ice storm, it's an annually thing. Some countries deal with flooding like this weekly.

My parents bought a generator that will keep our house powered for a week....they were kind of excited for the storm so they could test it out....we only lost power for 6 seconds (as I said before). lol.

Wow it powered the whole house for how long? How expensive was it?

Sorry my wording was a little wierd.  We have a generator, but we never had to use it because our power didn't go out for very long lol.

I'm not sure how expensive it is, but its this little machine that sits outside the house (about as big as those air conditioner units) and it is supposed to be able to power most of the house (kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms) for like 5 - 7 days.

Good stuff, and once again lucky your power didn't go our, hell I'm lucky I got mine back some what early. My cousin of which has been staying here since the storm because she STILL has no power!
