I live in the UK, I don't think Microsoft has any stores in my near by area at all :/ 

Having now used it myself ( and not just referring to the many reviews that say te keyboards great ). It is well a great keyboard. 

Everything was smooth, app transition, UI, Desktop IE as well as Metro IE. My USB flash went straight in and picked straigt up. Etc etc. Pretty much the experience was the opposite of this review. 

I remember alot of people expecting some overblown reviews from some media due to Apple love or frenzy. Same thing you get with a Halo hater reviewing Halo in the first place.

Luckily people arent listening to these reviews. Probably the reason why Microsoft as set up booths where you just try it yourself. One is set up at my local Shopping mall. People love it. Microsoft even encouraging people to compare it to whatever tablet/Ipad they ave on them at the time. Pricelss seeing peoples face when Safari says Sorry cant play on this device, and the same Webpage working flawlessly on Desktop RT IE.

Definately take your Ipads etc to one of these booths. Guarenteed to be impressed.

I had a bash at Hydro Thunder Hurricane yesterday when I went. Didnt feel or look any different to my Windows Phone version. Well it had a better smoother framerate on surface in comparison. But the visuals were the same. And tried a demo of Angry Birds to. It played just like Angry Birds but a better picture as I expected. 

I tried the true multitasking to. Side by side apps. Worked really well. Flicking your thumb from the left really quick through te open apps was neat to. Its instant, like you cant really tell whether its actually loading or just there.

Slick aint the word. 

Nice to see the Marketplace having loads of extra apps compared to the preview Windows 8 I write this off. The Microsoft guy said it was accessing the US store as the Store for UK was not live yet.

If I remember correctly, you were using Digital Foundry for X360 vs PS3 multiplatform game comparisons all the time. Am I wrong?

Maybe 5 years ago. For 1 or 2? 

I learned very early on that DF do not take everything into consideration. They base everything off Framerate, Textures etc. And not how much the game does as a whole. DF have been shown up numerous times by Cliff Blezinski and Jon Carmack to name a few as to why they arent right on many occasions.

Not entirely unexpected. Apparently Acer are delaying their Windows RT devices due to the lukwarm response to the current Surface tablets:

My opinion of Surface RT hasn't changed, best bet is to wait for Surface Pro and see how that fairs, or look to 3rd-party offerings.

This is BBC. They make stuff up in their headlines. Even if there artcile contradicts it like this article you posted.

Acer said noting about its lukewarm response. If anything it sold out. 

Acer are refferring to Surface existing. As in Microsoft making their own hardware. 

Surface RT is sold out on its 2nd batch as well. So its got nothing to do with lukewarm reception.

"Originally we had a very aggressive plan to come out very early next year, but because of Surface, our R&D development doesn't stop, but we are much more cautious," Acer's president Jim Wong told Reuters.

"Originally our plan was Q1 [January to March], but now I don't think it will be earlier than Q2 [April to June]."

Mr Wong indicated his concerns were also linked to the price of Surface.

Microsoft is charging £399 for its entry-level device with 32 gigabytes of storage, which does not include a keyboard cover.

UK-based shoppers had complained their Surface orders had not arrived on Friday

That is the same price as an iPad featuring half the amount of storage, albeit with less space taken up by Apple's operating system.

I've bolded the important part you're missing, but you're also absolutly right on Acer being wary of Microsoft's moves into hardware.

Let me point something out to you. BBC's article is vastly different. BBC are known to twist things. Especially 'THAT' writer. LOL. 

The 2nd article mentions nothing of lukewarm reception. 

Well BBC must appear stupid considering 

1. Acer didnt say that.

2. Surface RT sold out pre launch and now on 2nd batch.

BBC this is why the UK hate you.

Either way, they're waiting to see how consumers respond to Windows RT which is a wise move imo. I see Surface Pro/ Full Windows 8 being far bigger then Windows RT in the short-term.
