I'm being serious. The 720 is gonna sell 250m units in the next 10 years and there will be yearly Halo release which will sell in the region of 55-60 per year. I think the Wii U will be discontinued in 2013 due to low sales and the PS4 will be cancelled, so the 720 will have the entire market. Mark my words.

You're just showing your indifference to facts. Halo has, in the past 11 years and with 6 games, sold 46 million units. No way would a single Halo game sell the way you want it to.

You should've made it clear. GOW stands for Gears of War; because its a higher selling franchise, anytime you say GOW people will automatically assume you're referring to Gears of War.

Hello, but God of War franchise has been officially stated to sell 21 million units as of June 30, 2012. Gears I'm sure didn't sell that well. Also, the first God of War(2005) came before the first Gears of War (2006).


The GOW series has sold more than the GODOWA series (not including spin-offs).

It sold more INCLUDING its spinoffs. What you dont want to include is the HD re-releases.Cmon.


I don't understand you bro. I stated the facts...and you simply don't want to agree. God of War has sold better, including the collections and the games, the series has sold over 21 million units as stated by Sony.

I think his point is God of War 1-3 vs Gears of War 1-3.  Gears outsells God War by a big margin game by game.  I believe he stated this like 20 times yet you dont seem to get that.  

I still don't think so. According to the sales sats released by Sony for the God of War franchise, the main trilogy sold approximately 15 million units, and the two PSP titles and two HD remastered titles sold about 6 million units combined.

It will. The 720 will monopolise the market and sell 250m+ units. Also, Halo 3 anniversary in 2018 will sell 90m units.

Maybe that's what GOW stands for for you two guys, but for the vast majority of people GOW = gears of war.

Therefore, gears of war has rights to the acronym as it's a more popular series. Higher sales = rights to the acronym.

You're wrong, it's not an official acronym for GOW or GODOWA. It's something that consumers use, and because gears of war has sold millions more than god of war, when people hear you saying GOW they'll automatically assume you're referring to gears of war. It's not rocket science.
